Chapter 44 [SURPRISE]

                       CRYSTAL'S POV
After Mr Bolodenka and Scarlet left, I opened their gifts. I started with Scarlet's. It was a two little onesies for kids. A blue one and a pink one. They looked so cute. There were also two pairs of kid's shoes, blue ones and pink ones,  and pink and blue socks. I was so emotional, this is real. I am going to be a mother. I looked into the bag to see if I missed something and I saw a note. It said;

Dear Crystal,
I would like to congratulate you as you embark on this new journey of motherhood. You are going to be a great mom. I didn't know if you were going to have a boy or a girl so I took both colors. Again congratulations. I am so happy for you. You are a brave and an amazing woman.

By the time I was done reading the note, tears were flowing down my cheeks. This is real. I wiped the tears and opened Mr Bolodenka's gift basket. It was full of strawberries and chocolate. There were so many snacks in there and shockingly they were all my favorite. He also had kept a note in the basket that read;

        Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am sure you are going to be the best mother ever. I am also sorry for everything that happened to you. You are a very strong woman. My mother always say that there's nothing strawberry and chocolate can't fix and I hope that she's right.

Well his mother wasn't wrong at all. Strawberry and chocolate solves everything. I didn't wait to be told to eat. I dove right in and ate started eating the strawberries that were dipped in chocolate. The taste was amazing. Ares didn't even waste a second, she joined in and took a strawberry. We looked at Lorenzo and he immediately laughed and joined in. We ate all the chocolate and strawberries. I had missed it so much. To top it all up, Lorenzo had brought some burgers. I was extremely happy. This was a great day.

Doctor Martin and Doctor Syd came in to check up on me. I was happy that they got the tubes out. I was walking pretty easily now and I was also fully recovered. 

"So we have decided that since you are very much healed, we could discharge you today. Here are the discharge papers. I don't know who's going to sign."

Talk about another good news. I get to go home today. How incredible. Lorenzo signed the papers. It then hit me that I didn't have anything to wear. I was brought in the hospital in prison uniform and now, I have no clothes.

"here, Lorenzo bought you some pregnancy clothes. So go get rid of those ugly things they call clothes. Hospitals. Argh." Ares said with a tone of disgust. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Tell him I said thank you" I told her.

"tell him yourself" Ares said. I took a pillow from the bed and threw it at her. She cought it and threw it back at me. I ran into the bathroom and closed the door before she could hit me again. I opened the bag and I saw a beautiful maroon dress. It went all the way down to my ankles.

Apparently, Lorenzo had good taste. There were also some black flat shoes. They were beautiful too. I wore them and left the bathroom.

"Ey Cinderella, I hope you don't loose your glass slippers" Ares said. We looked at each other for a minute and then erupted into laughter.

I knew that she was going to make fun of me. She has never seen me in a long dress, and neither have I.

"You look good though, the man has good taste" she smirked. "That's what I said, and where has he gone?" I asked her as I continued to fold the hospital gown.

"Missing him already?" I took the pillow and hit her with it.

"okay, okay he went to get the car ready. He said that he'll meet us at the exit." I nodded and when we were done, we got out of the room and went to Doctor Syd's office.

"Here is the food time table. And I would highly advice you to take it easy on yourself. Be careful okay? Goodbye Crystal."

We bid her goodbye and left. When we got to the exit, a black G wagon AMG G 63 and Lorenzo was standing outside, with his phone on his hands, was waiting for us. I have been dreaming of buying this car the very minute it came out. He looked so handsome.

When he spotted us, he kept his phone in his pocket and opened the front door for me and the black door for Ares. We thanked him and as always,. Ares teased him about being a gentleman.

"So where are you guys taking me? As far as I know, I don't have a house of my own" the went silent and ignored my question. So I asked them again.

  "It's a surprise" Lorenzo said. I looked at them with wide eyes. I turned and faced Ares and she just shrugged.

"Oh don't make me spoil the surprise. Calm your nerves down and wait to be surprised." We drove in silence and I fell asleep through out the drive.

I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Lorenzo. "What do you want from me? Can't I just sleep in peace?"

I said with an irritated voice. "Come on grumpy, I need to blindfold you" Lorenzo said.

I didn't know where this was going. It was already dark and all I wanted to do was sleep.

"Blind fold me? Why?" I asked him.

"For the surprise, remember?" He didn't even let me finish.

He took a black bandana and covered my eyes. He helped me to get out of the car. He them guided me with his hand. I felt a familiar homely energy. I wondered what surprise they have. Lorenzo opened the door and took off my blindfold.

I heard people shouting "congratulations and welcome home" I looked around and saw some very familiar faces. Everyone who was at the hospital today was here now. I then looked around and saw that this was my parent's house. They had rebuilt it. They have done so much for me, I don't know how I'd ever repay them.
