Chapter 69: Reincarnation, Part 2

(I'm changing Feng Xi's name to Liu Xiao because he already knew that he was on Liu Xiao's body again, so don't be confused, okay? Bye-bye!)

"Dude, you look poor."

Liu Xiao glanced at Xin Yue with an irritated look and replied with a click of his tongue. "Tsk! Are you just coming with me to say sh*t?"

Xin Yue laughed and shook his head. "I told you I'm bored. I just descended from the mortal realm earlier. Gods up there are a bunch of shit talks and boastings. I don't do that."

Liu Xiao and Xin Yue had finally reached the gates of the province of Luoho. As they approached, they noticed the gates were slightly ajar, with two guards diligently inspecting the queue of people waiting to enter. Liu Xiao's irritation mounted at the prospect of wasting time in the stagnant line. Just as he began to resign himself to the wait, Xin Yue seized his hand and pulled him in the opposite direction, her determination evident as they bolted away from the line, bypassing the guards altogether.

Liu Xiao yelled at him, "What the——where the fuck are you taking me?!"

"We're taking a shortcut!" Xin Yue exclaimed, leading the way with confident strides. Her long hair, a striking mix of black and blue, swayed elegantly as she ran, lending her the air of a shampoo commercial model. Liu Xiao couldn't help but suppress a chuckle at the comparison, his lips forming a silent grin.

The imposing white walls of the province of Luoho loomed overhead as they continued their brisk pace. Suddenly, Xin Yue halted at a gap in the wall, revealing a narrow pathway nestled within the forest. Liu Xiao's gaze shifted from the breach in the province's defenses to Xin Yue, who beamed proudly as if unveiling a hidden treasure. Swallowing nervously, Liu Xiao found his voice.

"U-Uh... did you do this?"

Xin Yue immediately replied, "Nope. It was Banyue."

Liu Xiao asked again as he stared at the hole in the wall, "When?"

Xin Yue shrugged, his expression thoughtful. "I can't recall, but he did something like this." With that, he took a few strides forward and crouched down, squeezing himself into the narrow gap. Moments later, his hand emerged, grasping the hem of Liu Xiao's plain white robe. "Hey! I'm stuck! Give me a push, quick!"

Liu Xiao's face contorted in a mixture of annoyance and disbelief. "You, a fat man, squeezing into a tiny hole? Are you out of your mind?"

Xin Yue replied with a growl, "I'M NOT FAT, MY HIPS ARE JUST WIDE, FUCKER! HURRY UP AND HELP ME!!!"

Suppressing his irritation, Liu Xiao gritted his teeth and propelled Xin Yue towards the gap in the wall. To any onlooker, it might have appeared as though the pair were attempting to infiltrate the province of Luoho with nefarious intent. With determined force, Liu Xiao shoved harder, causing Xin Yue's face to scrape roughly against the ground as he squeezed through the narrow opening.

Xin Yue snapped at the other side, "ACKK!!—WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Liu Xiao immediately replied, "It's not my fault! Don't blame me!"

Following Xin Yue through the opening, Liu Xiao slipped in effortlessly, his youthful and slender frame allowing him to navigate the passage with ease. Casting a glance at Xin Yue, who was busy dusting off his pants and wiping the dirt from his face with his sleeve, Liu Xiao couldn't help but stifle a chuckle. Together, they strolled nonchalantly into the province of Luoho, their demeanor betraying no hint of their recent escapade, as if they were seasoned experts at covert maneuvers.
