My phone rings and I grab it out of my pocket.

Devyn raises his eyebrows at me and I check the caller.

"It's Aria," I whisper, answering it.

"Grayson, is Devyn with you?" She says, her voice hoarse.

"Yeah, Ari, I'm here," he says. "What's wrong?"

"Am I on speaker?" She whispers.

"Yeah," he says.

"Are you guys alone?" She breathes.

"Yeah, we are," I say. "What's wrong?"

"Something happened with Emery, she—she won't talk to me, she just keeps crying and asking for Grayson," she stutters. "I don't know what to do."

Shit.

"Let me talk to her," I swallow.

I hear shuffling and then heaving breaths.

"Gr—Gray?" Emery stammers.

"Yes, baby, I'm right here," I whisper. "What's wrong, pretty girl?"

"I need you," she sobs. "I need my Gray."

"Are you okay?" My whole body aches for her.

"No," she whimpers. "Please, I—I can't breathe."

"Okay, baby, listen to me. I'm going to hang up and Devyn and I are going to get on a plane to come back," I try to soothe her. "I need you to talk to Aria for me. Tell her what happened and let her help you. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Oh—okay," she swallows.

"I love you," I breathe before hanging up.

I look up at Devyn and see him packing our bags up.

God, what happened?

My stomach knots and it feels like someone just stabbed me.

I grab my suitcase from him and we hurry downstairs.

He doesn't even wait to call an Uber, he just starts walking towards the airport.

We get to the airport within fifteen minutes.

My hands are shaking and it's hard to breathe.

Please, God, please let her be okay.

"Wait here," he scowls as he walks up to the front desk.

My Emery.

Please let her be okay.

He comes back after about five minutes.

"She said the next plane leaves in twenty minutes. We have to try to catch it," he mutters.

I nod and follow him as he jogs to the terminal.

When we get onto the plane, the knot in my stomach grows.

God, please let her be okay.

My anxiety and worry finally puts me to sleep.

"Grayson, get up," Devyn says.

He looks like shit.

His face is creased with worry and anger.

We get off the plane and Devyn takes out his phone again.

"Ari, we just landed. We're heading back to the house now," he mutters.

He hangs up again and we make it out to the front of the building.

We quickly find Rebekah's car and throw our bags in.
