As Wang Yibo walked towards his car, he couldn't help but feel strange about Xiao Zhan, who was sitting in his wheelchair with his head bowed down. Something inside him snapped, and he stood there, frozen for a second or two looking at him before turning back inside.

Despite the confusion of the two ladies around them, Wang Yibo approached Xiao Zhan and called out his name, hoping to get his attention. Hearing his voice, Xiao Zhan lifted his head and saw Yibo standing in front of him, speaking to him. Now, it was his turn to get shocked. He thought Wang Yibo had already left.

Without wasting any time, Wang Yibo asked Xiao Zhan to go with him. "Xiao Zhan, let's go," he said. His tone was gentle but firm, indicating his concern for the other.

Still in a state of confusion, Xiao Zhan asked, "Where?"

Wang Yibo took a deep breath before speaking, "I understand you don't want to go to crowded places. However, would you like to go for a drive with me? I can take you around and show you some places while you're in the car." His words were meant to convince Xiao Zhan, and he hoped that a change of scenery would help him take his mind off things that forbade him from leaving his past behind and starting to embrace himself.

Xiao Zhan stayed there in silence, unsure of what to do. He felt a sense of trepidation, a fear of the unknown that made him hesitate. Sensing his hesitation, Wang Yibo stepped forward and extended his hand, hoping to coax Xiao Zhan into coming with him. Xiao Zhan looked at Wang YiBo’s outstretched hand for a while, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts and emotions. He was torn between his desire to explore the world beyond his sheltered existence and his fear of the potential dangers that lay ahead.

However, in the end, throwing all his hesitations away, Xiao Zhan slowly reached out and held Wang YiBo’s hand, leaving his mother stunned. She stood there in silence, looking between Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo’s hand, trying to make sense of what was happening. She knew that her son had become cautious and reserved, and she was surprised to see him take such an unexpected step.

On the other hand, Wang YiBo’s face lit up with a sense of joy and relief. He pressed the other’s hand gently, blinking his eyes twice as a reassurance that everything would be okay. Xiao Zhan felt a sense of comfort and security in Wang YiBo’s touch, a feeling that he had never experienced before.

Xiao Zhan didn't know why he accepted Wang YiBo’s hand, but a part of his heart said he did the right thing, and he wanted to believe it. He had always been a solitary soul, keeping to himself and hiding his true self from the world. But something about Wang YiBo’s kindness and warmth made him want to open up and explore the world beyond his sheltered existence. He knew that there were risks involved in his anxiety and panic, but he was willing to take that chance, to trust in his heart and follow wherever it led him.

It had been many years since he had gone anywhere without the purpose of treatment. He wanted to do it once and this seemed like his only chance, so he grabbed it immediately. He shrugged all his thoughts, pressing him down to withdraw his decision, to change it. If it’s made, it’s made then. No need to change it.

Wang YiBo wasted no time in making the necessary arrangements after getting Xiao Zhan’s approval to go out. He called Dr. Hui to inform him that he would be delayed and quickly retrieved Xiao Zhan's jacket and muffler to keep him warm and comfortable. With gentle encouragement, he helped Xiao Zhan into the car, and they were soon off on their path.

When they drove away, Mrs Xiao, Xiao Zhan's mother, watched with a mix of relief and worry. She felt happy that her son was finally getting a chance to see the world outside, but she couldn't help but worry about the challenges that lay ahead. She couldn't imagine what he would feel during his first visit after the accident.
