Jacob shut the car door and sighed, looking at the front of the school his daughter and son attended. Jacob found the principal's office and sighed again before open the door.

A man sat on one side of the long circular table and on the other is a family of four. At one corner are his children.

"Mr. Frye," Principal Starrick greeted. "Take a seat."

Jacob pulled out the chair beside his oldest, Emmet, and sat down.

"I'd like to know what exactly it is that caused my children to be sent to the your office, Mr. Starrick." Jacob said.

Mr. Starrick glanced over at the family of four.

"Your children have started a fist fight, Mr. Frye," said Mr. Starrick. "Alongside with their......."Rooks" gang they've apparently started."

Jacob clenched his jaw, glancing at Emmet first then his sister, Y/n. Neither of the children seemed to regret it.

"Look at what they've done to my children!" The mother exclaimed. "My daughter had a beauty pageant in three days, Mr. Frye! Three! And your daughter has ruined her chances of winning it!"

"Mr. Starrick has yet to reveal why my children have fought yours," Jacob calmly stated.

Starrick cleared his throat, giving the mother a look. He folded his hands and looked at Y/n.

"Y/n was the one who started the fight. Nobody is quite sure of what caused her to throw the first punch. According to your daughter, Mr. Frye; Miss. Thorne was speaking poorly about your late wife."

Jacob stopped breathing for a moment. It all made sense now.

Y/n's always been defensive when it came to talking about her family and is willing to throw punches even if it means she gets suspended or expelled from school.

"What did she say?"

Mr. Starrick opened his mouth to reply.

"Not you," Jacob stopped Starrick. "Y/n, Emmet. What did she say?"

The brother and sister looked at each other first then at their father.

"She said our mother was a whore begging for your attention," Y/n murmured softly. "And once she got pregnant with us and gave birth, she left without a trace instead of dying like you told us. Mary Thorne told us that our mother left so she can continue whoring herself around."

"Go wait outside."

"Mr. Frye-" Starrick started.

"Go. Wait. Out. Side."

Emmet grasped Y/n's hand and the twins rushed out of the office. Jacob stood up from his seat, planting his palms against the smooth surface of the table.

"I'm going to make this very, very clear," said Jacob deadly calm. "I. Do not blame my daughter for throwing a punch. In fact, your daughter deserved it if not have every bone in her body broken. If you, or anyone, mentions my late wife like that again it will be the last mistake you will ever make before you run for your money and your life."

Jacob didn't wait for them to answer as he strode out of the office and out of the school. Emmet and Y/n scrambled after him and got in the car.

The drive back home is silent and awkward. Y/n fidgeted with her seatbelt while Emmet looked out the window.

"Daddy?"

Jacob glanced up to the rear mirror.

"Are you angry at us?"

Jacob pulled the car to the side, he cut off the engine and turned to face his two children.

"No. I'm not angry at you. I'm not angry at you two at all. I'm angry at Thorne and how she spoke about your mother. You had every right to throw a punch at Thorne, Y/n. Every. Single. God damn right to."

Jacob smiled at his children.

"And you also made me proud. You started a fight, you started a gang at school, and I'm certain that will be leaving a mark at school."

Emmet and Y/n grinned back at their father.

"To make things up, how about some ice-cream?"

"Yeah!"

I honestly suck at writing bullying scenarios and this is literally the only thing that came into mind so I'm sorry if it sucks.
