"Your happiness is all I wish for" -Lily

                        ((______________))

The world around Anthanasia slowly crumbled before her. The mirage slowly vanished then she found herself in a white void.

Before she got the time to survey her surroundings she was suddenly embraced.

"I knew you would make it!" Jennette smiled at Anthanasia who reciprocated the smile and hug.

"I promised that I'd never forget about you. About anyone dear to me" Time seemed to pass slowly as the joy in Anthanasia's heart swelled. But she didn't forget her mission.

"You also made it out of the illusion?" The voice which belonged to an unknown being spoke out. "It makes you forget about your world. But how did you people make it?

"Simple. I can never forget about my world"

"Hmm" The voice was silent before saying "You are now allowed to enter the Topaz palace for passing the test"

The white void which they were in, slowly faded away. And they found themselves beyond a gate made out of Topaz. From were they stood they could see the peaks of the Garnet palace and the Emerald Palace.

The sky was once again blue and the sound of nature filled their ears.

The topaz palace was the only palace which was not guarded.

Both of them moved into the inner part of the palace. The hallways were long, as if it was never ending.

Exploring the palace took half an hour before they entered the grandest room. On the door, a few words were written.

"The desire to be with you has surpassed all logic" The hand writing was very similar to the Emperor's.

But Anthanasia ignored it then entered into the room. The sight before then was the room they had been looking for.

"You have to find the room were the relic of Topaz is located. Its a mirror decorated with Topaz. Once you find it, you ask it a question. Since black magic is related ti the Emperor's past, the mirror will answer you" She recalled Lucas' explanation about their next action.

She walked towards the mirror with Jennette following from behind and both stopped in front of the ornate mirror.

The mirror was five feet. The frame, made out of Topaz. She had an eerie premonition about the mirror but reached forward, towards the cold glass.

"You can onky ask three questions" The voice which had spoken before, said.

Anthanasia  turned towards  Jennette then said "Asides from curing the Emperor, I want to ask a personal question. Would you like to also see someone's  past?"

Jennette bit her lip in thought then answered "You go first, I'm still thinking"

The room was silent after her words. Anthanasia  first of all asked how
the Emperor was linked to black magic.

"Relic of the palace of the past and secrets, please tell me of the past and secret Emperor Claude of Obelia has with the use of black magic" Anthanasia's words were gentle but decisive. Her hands shivered in anticipation as a scene played on the mirror.

Like a 3D movie, everything played right before their eyes.

"Claide, I'm pregnant" The woman with pink eyes and locks of pink eyes, smiled at the with blonde hair and jeweled blue eyes. He looked at her in shock then embraced her with joy.

However, his happy expression turned sad the moment he heard the child was eating away her life.

"I would rather die and let the child live" After birth, the woman laid in bed, lifeless and cold.

The pain the man felt was unbearable so he used black magic to block all emotions.

The scene played quickly but Anthanasia and Jennette understood everything. Lucas wanted to know what emotion the Emperor felt when he used black magic. From the short scene they fully understood the emotions he felt. Sorrow. Anguish. Sadness. Heartbreak.

Nobody said a word. The room was silent. Only Anthanasia's next inquiry stopped the silence. She pushed back all anxiety then once again reached out for the mirror.

"Relic of the palace of the past and secrets, please tell me of the past and secret of Emperor Claude of Obelia, which makes him...to have never loved me, his daughter, Anthanasia" For years, she had always wanted to know why. Why he was cold to her.

Bur at that moment, she feared to know the answer but still asked the question. A scene played on the mirror. A very familiar voice narrated.

"After Diana died, I blocked all my emotions. I admit I am a big coward, but I couldn't bare the pain I felt. So my life went back to its dull colours"

The scene showed Anthanasia when she was little, as she wandered around in the palace and bumped into the Emperor.

"However, the day I saw the daughter Diana had left behind for me, I felt something breaking. I felt my emotions coming back to lofe. But I had to push her away. Because I didn't want to feel the pain of emotions anymore. I continued to push her away, so I could keep my emotions in check"

A girl with brown hair was being introduced at Anthanasia's debut ball. The narration again continued.

"A girl named 'Jennette' was introduced as my daughter. But from the moment  I saw her, I knew that she wasn't my daughter. She was actually my older brother, Anastacius' daughter.

Though she was not my daughter,  I kept her around since she was born with black magic. And being around her lessened the pain and made me die quicker. Being with Diana again, is the greatest thing I yearn for"

The scene on the mirror ended, and the silence once again continued.

Now she finally knew the truth she had yearned for. And an unexpected truth. Jennette wasn't actually her sister.
