"It is your decision to be good or just be good at being bad" -Anthanasia

                    ((______________))
Jennette and Anthanasia left the topaz palace with a complicated mood. But the secrets they had just learnt could change their futures. However, they could have each other to rely on. Whether cousins or sisters.

"The import tax by the other kingdoms has been reduced. Therefore, we'll have to take the tax down a bit, in order to appease the peasants who are getting agitated" The nobles at the meeting declared their opposition to Anthanasia's decision.

The Emperor had been unconscious for two months and they all worked hard to remove Anthanasia as the Emperor's proxy.

"We can't do this, Your Majesty!" The nobles were against her plan because they were able to steal some money and press the working commoners for tax.

"And which 'we' do you refer to? I'm the one with the crown so the decision is final" Throughout every meeting Anthanasia had to act stubbornly, or else they would make her a puppet ruler, though only temporary.

In the first place she was never respected as the princess. So it was expected that she wouldn't be respected as Emperor proxy.

She could only use the 'crown' excuse for the members of the board to go through with her plans.

She massaged her temple as she remembered the meeting which had just ended.

Currenlty she was in the office of the Emperor waiting for each noble family to present their complaints, ideas, plans and so on.

"Duke Roger Alpheus" The man who had been causing a bit of trouble for her during the past few days entered at the heralds call.

He looked exactly like his son who had white hair and golden eyes. But he, had a different heart from Ijekiel.

"Your Majesty, I would just like to tell you I am resuming the position of Duke Alpheus during congress meetings. I reccomend you giving the prime minister position to someone of similar ranking"

Anthanasia's eyebrows furrowed as she listened to him. "Resuming the position as Duke? What about Sir Ijekiel?"

For the past year, during every meeting, Ijekiel had represented the Alpheus family on behalf of the Duke. Because Roger was a prime minister.

"I do not think he is befitting to carry out the role of Duke as such a young age. I sometimes wish he was as fillal as you, Your Highness. Ruling the Empire while the Emperor is unconscious" His remark was obviously sarcastic but Anthanasia didn't mind.

Instead she focused on the real reason as to why Duke Alpheus stopped Ijekiel from acting as the Duke's successor.

'Maybe it was because Ijekiel helped me, therefore opposing his plan' Anthanasia thought to herself then dismissed Roger.

Her duty as the Emperor proxy continued until afternoon when she finally left the Emperor's office for lunch.

She had developed a head ache so she didn't want anything to disturb her. Like usual Felix escorted her quietly to her room.

However on her way, she encountered somebody unpleasant who disturbed her.

"You're so shameless stealing the crown of the Emperor and walking around the palace" Rosalina, who was Jennette's aunt said these words to Anthanasia with obvious disrespect. She had never openly insulted Anthanasia like this.

Now that she thought about it, Jennette hadn't talked about her aunt for sometime and she hadn't seen them both together.

Did something happen in between them? No matter, Anthanasia couldn't sit back and be insulted like this. But she didn't want to drag the matter on because of her head ache.

"Countess Margarita, I have no time to deal with senseless people like you. Felix, please take her out of the palace"

Rosalina didn't expect that Anthanasia would just throw her out. She was Jennette's aunt and also a Countess. She should not be treated like this. Felix simply offered to escort her out first with politeness. But when she resisted he dragged her out forcefully.

"You can't dismiss me from the palace, you home wrecker!" Rosalina screamed as she was being dragged out.

"I'm sorry but I'm no home wrecker. And you say I can't dismiss you from the palace? But I just did" Anthanasia replied her with this short sentence. While Rosalina's face contorted in anger.

She felt very insulted. But Anthanasia didn't care. She just went to the ruby palace to eat lunch, take a short nap then continue with her duties.
