Chapter 10: Eavesdrop

"Please pick up," I mumbled as I click "call" on Jimin's phone number for the second time. After a few seconds, the line connected and I immediately respond with "Hello? Jimin?" I speak excitedly.

I heard a falling noise and a loud gasp. It's Jimin I thought. "Jimin relax, It's me Aera. Hold the phone carefully okay?" I said slowly.

Jimin on the other side nodded as a response as if Aera could see it.

I waited  for a response but knowing Jimin, I know he couldn't talk back. "Hey, I know you can't talk back but just listen to me. I miss you and I hope you're doing fine in there. Now that you still have the phone it just means that Dad didn't send you to the cops, I'm glad but I wish you could tell me where you are since Dad won't tell me things for sure. But don't worry I'll try to visit you okay?" I smiled in relief feeling Jimin's presence on the other side even if he couldn't talk.

"You still remember how to call me right?" I asked waiting for a response but as usual I didn't hear anything.

"Anyway, I'll just call you. Bye for now Jimin." I sighed and was about to press the end call when-

"A-Aera." Jimin stuttered faintly. 

I was shock for a moment but I found myself smiling. "Yeah?" I replied.

"A-Aera.." Jimin repeated.

"Yes?" I replied which made Jimin cheer on the other side.

"A-Aera!" Jimin  excitedly called. "Yah, What do you need?" I chuckled. 

"Aera!" Jimin said. 

"Jimin." I replied.

"Aera!" Taehyung called out knocking on my door. 

I frowned, Looks like I need to end the call now. "Jimin I'm sorry, I'll call you later okay? Bye." I sighed ending the call as I walked towards the door revealing a stubborn guy named Kim Taehyung.

"What do you want?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "Why so grumpy?" He responded. I step back and tried to close the door when his hand block it. "Stop ignoring me and Let's eat Lunch." He said looking serious. "I don't-- 

"Let's go!" He interrupted me as he dragged me out of my room. We went downstairs to see Jungkook setting up the table. "You're finally out." He said.

"I thought she was gonna bite me." Taehyung teased. "I know the feeling bro" Jungkook added and they laughed. I glared at the two boys laughing  together as I sat down on the chair and started eating.

It was past 6pm when I asked Jungkook to come in my room for a talk. "You called me?" He said as he entered my room. "Sit down." I said walking near him. "I called Jimin today." I started. "Really? How is he?" Jungkook responded.

"It seems like he's fine. He still has my phone meaning Dad didn't send him to the police. " I replied. "That's good." Jungkook commented.

"Let's visit him." I said looking serious. "But How?" He asked. "I've talk to a trusted bodyguard of Dad and he told me where Jimin is. He told me Jimin is staying in a mental health center for a check." I explained. 

"Which one? And I didn't know you had a spy around your dad." Jungkook added.

"The one near my former school. And he's not a spy he's still loyal to my dad I just ask him for dad's whereabouts since Dad barely tells me. I was just a little lucky he told me where Jimin is." I replied. "I see, so when do we visit him?" Jungkook asked. "Tomorrow." I quickly replied."How about your fiancee?" He added. "I'll ask the maids to distract him." I said.

"It's settled then." Jungkook replied giving me a high five.

But little did they know, Taehyung was standing outside Aera's room eavesdropping.
