Words written on paper,
The way in which they're phrased
Contains great power,
Best expressed through poetry.
There's so much more power
To harness in a poem,
For I merely scratched the surface,
And flooded you with parlor tricks.
I must improve,
Dig far deeper than before
All the way down to
The never explored regions of my soul.
There lies an elixir
At the very bottom
Of the abyss that is my soul,
That which I must find.
When it's in my grasp,
I must shove its contents down my throat,
And acquire enough power
To become invincible.
With that power,
I shall become the poet
I was meant to be
By claiming everyone's hearts.
