Summer,
The warmest of seasons,
Even with the thinnest layer of clothing,
The heat is the bane of my existence. This is the season of outdoors,
But I find myself locked up in my room
With the air-conditioner blowing at my face. This heat is the most horrible
Thing invented by nature,
And mankind is making it worse
By pumping greenhouse gases into the air.Did I say I have an air-conditioner
Blowing at my face?
Actually, it's more than that:
I have the shades down,
I have an open freezer next to me,
I have ice packs taped on my body,
I have ice cream being shoved down my throat,
I even have the house's cooling system activated
Because my personal fan isn't enough. You'd think it's like winter in my room,
But it's quite the opposite;
It is still flaming hot in my room
While I wish to rid myself of this suffering.
