Other than that pile of homework just laying around on my desk. Whateverr.

OK LETS BEGINN

The forest was always quiet and serene, but always thrumming with life. It was a place where creatures of any kind could walk carefree and not hide. When I was I young, I would come here and ride Almas, a centaur, all through the woods, we would find all sorts of hidden areas; ones behind waterfalls or ones inside trees, the forest were bursting with unique places. The moon was perhaps the most magnificent, never moving, always just there. There was no day, just night.

But what lay in front of me, could've been mistaken for somewhere else entirely. The trees were decaying and crusted, the leaves were completely gone. The grass wasn't its usual vibrant green, but frozen and withering slowly. It was dead, an eerie silence creeping through the ash coated air. No creatures wandered about, the gentle rustle of leaves vanished, and the soft nickering of animals had left. All that was in front of me was a rotting wasteland...

I wanted to move and run, but my feet were rooted to the spot as if vines were twisting around them and forbidding me to leave. But I needed to go home, I needed to tell everyone and maybe because of those reasons, the grip loosened, and I sprinted away, towards my little cottage.

I slowed and beheld the remnants of my home. The glass was shattered; the door was burned and sooty. The air around it seemed more contracted and tighter, the wallpaper was peeling off like something torn on it, and the roof had collapsed and filled the interior of the house. The flowers, Mother and I planted, were incinerated and deceased, everything was.

Where were they? Where was my family?

My footsteps were loud as they crunched on the lifeless grass and bits of rock and glass, the noise echoing through the vacant forest. I walked to the back and froze.

My eyes wouldn't blink, my heart wouldn't take a beat and my lungs wouldn't take in breaths, it felt as if my soul departed from my body, leaving me to look through the eyes of an insensate doll. I couldn't breath and my vision became foggy.

I needed to look away, needed to look away from the three scorched, black with soot bodies that lay on the floor. Their mouths gaping open and the rest of their body were too disorientated to make out. But I knew who they were; I knew that they were my family that were lying dead in front of me...
