"bro, if cinderella's shoe fit perfectly, why did it come off?" i asked as i took a final hit from my joint.

sophia's brows furrowed as she thought. "ion know—"

"and how can our bodies replicate the feeling of falling from high altitudes in a nightmare if we've never fallen like that before?"

"bro, shut up, you're hurting my brain," she complained, then asked "how fuckin' high are you anyways?"

"5'4."

she shook her head, mumbling "dumbass" as she stood up, walking over to her refrigerator. she pulled out a bottle of water, starting to walk back over but i stopped her.

"you got any food? a bitch is hungry." i said and she turned back around, going to her cabinet.

"i've got a pop tart." she told me, muttering something about needing to go shopping after.

i made grabby hands and she brought it over, handing it to me. i set the water bottle beside me, opening up the pop tart.

i glanced at her, seeing her propping her head on her hand as she looked at me. i flipped her off. "stop staring at me, soph."

"i'm not." she flipped me off as well.

"yeah huh." i mumbled, taking a bite of my pop tart.

"so, you wanna watch the office?" she asked.

"no," i shook my head. "i only watch that with my girl. plus, i'm about to go to my dorm anyways."

"so, you come in here to smoke, eat my food, and then leave?" she joked.

"no, i talked to you too."

"i can't stand you." she rolled her eyes.

"yeah, okay." i muttered sarcastically, then drank the water bottle.

i looked around. "does it ever get lonely in here? you know, without a roommate or whatever."

she shrugged. "not really. and i mean, you're over here, like, seventy percent of the time, so again, not really."

i shrugged as well, standing up and dusting myself off. i walked over to her trash, throwing away the empty water bottle and pop tart wrapper.
