a/n merry christmas, here's a long chapter 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

"finneas, stop!" i laughed, shoving his hand away from my ribcage.

"fine, fine," he chuckled, stopping tickling me. "dude, i can't believe you're nineteen now. like... it's just so crazy to me."

"yeah, i can't believe it either. i just— i don't know. i'm glad i made it this far." i admitted.

"me too." he smiled, standing up. he pressed a kiss to the top of my head before walking out of the green room.

i got off the couch as well, walking over to mom. "how much longer until i have to go on stage?"

she looked at her watch. "about ten or so minutes."

i nodded, grabbing one of the small bags of takis that was in the room. i opened it, pulling one out so that i could eat it.

"how are you feeling, billie?" mom asked after a moment.

"good, i guess," i shrugged. "i'm upset that jj isn't here though, especially since it's our one year too."

she frowned, placing a hand on my shoulder to rub at it soothingly. "it's okay, you'll get to see her in a few more days."

"i wanna see her now though. i don't wanna have to wait any longer; i've waited long enough." i grumbled, gently shaking her hand off of my shoulder.

"i know, bil." she sympathized.

there was a knock on the green room door. "you're on in five minutes."

i answered with a 'okay' then ate a few more takis. i grabbed a bottle of water, drinking about half of it. i fixed my shoe laces, then adjusted the shirt i was wearing. i exited the green room, walking to the backstage area.

the office theme song started playing and i could hear the audience start yelling in excitement. finneas and andrew walked onto the stage first and i waited a few moments before going onto the stage as well.

i jumped around a bit to the theme song, stopping for a second as the song suddenly turned to copycat. the crowd cheered loudly as i began singing.

performing has to be one of my favorite things to do. the energy is always amazing and it's so freeing. it's an escape from the world, even if it is just for an hour or so. i love it and it's honestly one of the only good things about all of touring shit.

"i'm so sorry now you know. sorry i'm the one that told you so. sorry, sorry, i'm so sorry, sorry," it went quiet for a small moment. "sike, bitch!" the crowd went loud again, moshing around.

<~~~~~>

"thank you!" i said for a final time, a wide smile on my face as i made my way off the stage.

once finny was back there too, i went into his arms, giving him a big hug. i looked up to see him grinning.

"you killed it." he complimented.

"thanks, you did too." i smiled.

we started walking back to the green room and i furrowed my brows when he pulled out his phone, opening his camera to start recording.
