"So, tell me. Hot lesbian sex?" Emily questions me as soon as we're alone. She saw us together. Orion and I. It's not fair to call it an us, and I shouldn't, but I do. I am going to be her wife.

So yes, Us.

"It's nothing," I nudge her gently before pulling her into a close hug, "I've missed you. Are you hurt?"

"He hasn't hurt me," Adonis King. I haven't met him officially, but If he's anything like Orion, then I have a pretty decent idea on what he's like. I remember that meeting, the one where he was cracking jokes, and making her upset. Not going to lie, I found it funny, but she didn't. He's the one who's had Emily living at his house. I thought she was in some basement, the torture chambers you see in criminal minds, or something gory like that.

But it's not. Emily has her own room, like mine. She has a big bed—Not Alaskan king, but big enough, and a huge vanity mirror. She's living better than she was at my apartment.

I don't get why.

Why Orion kept her word on not hurting her.

"Are you sure he hasn't hurt you?" I raise an eyebrow at her, and examine her, "Physically?" Her head shakes, "Mentally?" I continue to question.

Her head shakes again, "No, Ruth. I'm fine."

The door swings open before I can ask her another time. Adonis enters. Dark hair. Nice eyes. He's definitely the male version of Orion. All of her brothers are, and it's still frightening how much they look alike, but yet, are so different from each other. I wonder what life would've been like if my mother didn't die giving birth to me, and had other kids. Would we be one big happy family? Or would she still want to be alone, in a place where all she needed was her writing? My mother loved me.

I know that she did, but another thing I know, is that she loved her work more. Her work didn't kill her, I did, and her sacrifice, was worth nothing.

"Ruth, it's good to see you again," He smiles, "I know we haven't personally met. I'm Adonis. The handsome sibling. Atticus is the bitch, Rucifer is the cockblocker, and Orion is the other bitch."

"Why is Rucifer the cockblocker?" I laugh.

"I have a story to tell you," He laughs back, "But that's for another day. I have prepared a room for you, if you'd like. You're more than welcome to stay in here with Emily, but I thought you'd want privacy, so. It's an option," He's nice, surprisingly.

I nod, "Where's Orion?" I haven't seen her since we first walked in. I immediately went to see Emily, and she stayed behind. Did she leave me here? She told Amiri that we'd be staying, together.
