I tossed and turned all night. Every thought, every dream regarded Cato in some way, the others popped in and out, Cato always stayed consistent.

I woke up, wondering how living here is going to be. I thought I had my ' family' now I'm not so sure, I thought maybe I was over reacting but they lied.

I know they somewhat needed to, but it doesn't make that hole in my gut feel any better, it doesn't make my memories any more real or made up.

I was kept awake because I wanted to know what was real and what was fake, now I'm scared they're as trustworthy as River was.

My head spun until there was the same annoying knock on the door. " Kaylaya?" Gale said through the door.

Right, Gale and Vad are supposed to train me. I guess this means morning sessions.

" I'm up." I answer. " Let me get dressed."

" Hurry Soldier Musak, we don't have all day. You should've been prepared." He chimes in again.

Him trying to be a wannabe Commander or General is going to drive me nuts. I roll my eyes to myself throwing on the same bland gray training wear throwing my hair up, opening the door.

" First off, your not a higher rank then me..So don't act like one. Got it?" I told him as I walked.

Vad was there to, he didn't say a word, they both followed Gale piping up again. " We're training you, so technically.. We are. So we'd both like some respect."

" Respect in district 2 is earned. Isn't that right Vad, or that another lie you told me?"

" It's true." He responds evenly.

I turn to Gale, " See, true."

We reached the training rooms, " I need 5 laps." Gale instructs.

" Why do I need to run laps? I'm not a tribute."

" Just do as he says Kaylaya." Vad coaxes, I give him a glare before looking at Gale again. " Cato didn't make me do laps."

He smiles, " I'm not Cato."

" Laps are pointless."

" Laps make your have more endurance."

I lean on the wall, " Technically, laps open up your lung capacity so you can run faster and longer. If we're being technical. Maybe you should take lessons from Cato."

"Sounds like you still want Cato to train you."

I scoff, " At least he knows how to train."

Gale mimcks my stance, " Well, if you wanted Cato.. you probably shouldn't have thrown that fit and he'd still be here."
