Y/N's POV

"Excuse me... Pardon me..." I mumbled under my breath while trying to see what the commotion was about.

A few minutes ago, a bear named Monokuma had shown up on Jabberwock Island and threatened Usami, changing her into another rabbit called Monomi. Everyone seemed either sickened or angry at the fact that Monokuma held us hostage and forced us to do the unbelievable.

"Kill. Kill your classmates!" He cackled while holding his belly. "Strangling, drowning, stabbing, cutting, hanging, burning, bludgeoning, poisoning... Oh the despair!~" He sighed dreamily while rubbing his paws against his cheeks.

I realized a single detail, though.

I had always been shy, never interacting with anyone, afraid of rejection. I chose to not even bother talking to anyone instead.

So if I was killed, no one would actually care. I always hid in the shadows, observing everyone and taking notes of their interests.

'Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to talk to them...'

Despite being shy, I had a short temper as demonstrated on my parents...

"Upupupupu~ I can feel all of your DESPAIR!" Monokuma laughed sinisterly while taking notes of our faces.

With that, he abruptly left us, wondering what to do.

As my classmates were bumbling in confusion, I quickly analyzed a plan in order to escape the situation... possibly a theory.

It was in my title after all.

I was given that title after a girl who used to attend Hope's Peak named Junko Enoshima died.

'This island... Why does it look artificial..?' 

I glanced over to the palm trees and stared intently at the leaves swaying in the wind. My eyes widened when I realized a chunk glitched off of a leaf.

"Oi, I've never seen you here before... You new or somethin'?"

I didn't bother to turn around. Instead, I felt embarrassment rack through me.

'He caught me... staring at a tree...'

"So you're a tree-lover? That's fucking great. Next thing you'll know is that you're gonna convert to being vegan and making out with trees. Fucking disgusts me."  [I can feel the people getting T R I G G E R E D]

Finally, letting out a soft huff, I turned around, my cheeks slightly flushed. "Please leave me alone..."

"Eh?! You fucking talking to me?!"

I locked eyes with golden ones who were staring back at me, anger clearly seeping through the irises.
