Picnic (X Mike)

Your POV

      I was packing a little picnic basket for Mike and I while he was busy at work. There was only a little time left until he got home so I was in a sort of rush. I heard keys turning in the door to our apartment followed by Mike himself.

"Hey, babe," Mike started groggily, "what's this?"

"Happy birthday, Mike," I said softly as I pulled him in for a quick kiss.

"Picnic?" He asked.

"And Movie. In the park," I smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you too," I giggled.

      We grabbed the basket and a blanket from our cabinets. As soon as we we were ready we headed out towards the park... Where I had one more surprise planned for him.

      Mike pulled up his truck in the parking lot and I hopped out. I grabbed the blanket and the picnic basic in one hand then turned and grabbed Mike's hand in the other. We walked over to a spot near the movie screen. And Mike began setting up.

"Mike?"

"Yes, Y/N dearest," He laughed.

"Can I borrow your phone?"

"Why of course," He laughed again while tossing me his phone.

      I pulled up the group chat with all our friends on it.

The Gang

Me: Is everybody here?

Sex Cult Leader: Wait? Why does Mike know the plan?

Glasses: Josh, it's Y/N stupid! Did you even listen to the plan?

Butterfly: Beth and I are almost there. Give us a minute.

Me: Okay, everyone. Wait for Hannah and Beth then get over here. Mike is about to finish up setting up our picnic. Matt do you have the drinks?

Meathead: Only the finest wine this side of the states. 😂

Ex 💔: Shut up, Cowboy.

Me: Focus guys.

Butterfly: Chris I see you and Ashley! I'm waving.

Glasses: Yeah I see you, and I see Matt and Emily. Where is Jess?

Scaredy Cat: I'm with Josh. He picked me up since I... U know... Totaled my car.

Me: Has everyone found each other???

Glasses: Just found Josh. Waving him over. On our way Y/N.

"Babe, can I get my phone?" Mike asked.

"No," I replied softly.

"And why is that?"

"I need it," I laughed as Mike came closer.

"Oh come on. Please?"

"Nope."

     Mike grabbed my waist quickly and pulled me in for a kiss. As he pulled away I could hear running.

"Surprise!" All our friends yelled.

"Happy birthday Mike!" I yelled happily.

"Is this your doing?" Mike asked as he turned to me.

"Yes!" Josh yelled.

       Mike pulled me in for a kiss.

"You are the greatest girlfriend I could ever ask for," He whispered into my ear softly.

"And Matt brought booze!" Josh continued yelling.

"Maybe you shouldn't tell that, Josh," Chris started.

"It just got better," Mike started, causing us all to laugh.

"I love you," We started at the same time.
