CHAPTER 29

Courage

Auee's POV

Gaus o mas kilala bilang Garen Gustavio. Matagal ko na siyang gustong makilala ulit. It's been years simula nung niloko niya kami dahilan kung bakit wala na ang dati naming grupo nila Rico. Niloko niya kami at kailangan niya 'yong pagbayaran.

Tiningnan ko siya gamit ang isang malamig na titig. Ngumisi siya na tila nagbabadyang inisin ako pero hindi na ako madadala sa mga ganyan. I did grow. As time passed by my roommates taught me how to handle things. I have treasured them even if it's just a year since i met them. Putting themselves in danger just to save me was enough for me to trust them and treat them more than as my friends.

"You grew. You look.. the same." tawa niya sa akin. I ignored him. He's just like before. Cocky head. "Oh, you're ignoring me now? Can't you give your brother---"

"Step brother." may diin kong sabi. He just shrugged. "At least give me a hug?" he said, extending his arms. I hissed and tapped the royale scanner. He smirked and shook his head as if I did something bad.

He was once dear to me but he breached my trust and chose to be on a different path. He told us lies which made my previous group more difficult, a reason to move out.. at least just for me. I was hurt and immature. I don't know how to handle things on my own. I have always depended on him back then but he betrayed me. He used me as a bait to get his revenge.

"Joker, Rank 9 of CEU. 2430 points." He looked disappointed at me. I shrugged off. My anger is visble and my eyes are all darting on him.

"Gaus, Rank 9 of STU. 2274 points."

Hinanda ko ang sarili ko. Hinding-hindi na ako tatakbo ulit. Gagawin ko ang lahat mapatumba lang siya. He looked mad too. He weld his double blade sword. The same sword he used killing my friends. My viens are about to pop out in anger. My hands are trembling because of the rage i'm in.

Ngumisi siya sa akin habang pinapa-ikot ang espada niya. Dahan -dahan siyang lumapit sa akin. I'm not going to use my weapon. That's Soul's command not unless we're in real trouble. But I think i can handle this bastard.

"Sa tingin mo ba importante ka sa mga bago mong kasama ngayon? hah!" maangas na sabi niya. Umilag ako sa balak niyang gawin. Agad akong napababa sa sahig at sinipa ang kanyang binti upang mawala siya ng balanse. hindi niya iyon inaasahan pero agad siyang nakabawi gamit ang espada niya.

"You learned a bit." sabi niya at mukhang sineseryoso na ako. I smirked. Of course, I need to protect the people who are precious to me. People who gave me hope. Sumugod siya sa akin at panay ilag lang ako. His sword looked crooked because it hits the floor every time I avoid his attacks. He looks fuming mad now. He let go of his sword and faced me. dimwitt he should have held his sword more. Now he doesn't have any chance of winning against me.

"Gago kang bata ka! Pabigat ka talaga sa mga plano ko!" galit na asik niya. He launches a punch without my notice and that's when I fall down. caught off guard and helpless. I covered my head with my hands. I tried rolling but his feets are strangled in my waist. fuvk! His punches are becoming heavy every punch. My hands are tiring and my mind is blank.

I spit blood and I felt it flowing down from my nose. I saw him smile devilishly just like when I saw him that night. The night he killed my friends. I survived but most of them did not. because of him. Maybe if I could just escape the wrath of his mother that night I could have saved them. Save Nico and everybody.

My hands gave up and now my face is bare and his punches are darting. It wasn't painful.. maybe because I'm a masochist.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AUEE!" I heard a voice. I knew where it came from and who owns it. I smiled. His punches are now useless. I'm used to it. I brought myself up only to surprise Gaus. He wasn't believing that I could still stand and was able to kick him away from me. I tilted my head to see her holding her strawberry milk.

"I can handle it now, Ace." I said with assurance. Gaus tried to punch me again while I'm talking but I catched it and twisted his hand. He awed in pain. I smirked with satisfaction every scream I heard from the killer who murdered my friends.

"Ok, byebye.." rinig kong sabi ni Ace. I nod at her. Gripping Gaus and breaking his hand. I let go of him and kicked him in his stomach. He spitted blood and cough. "How does it feel?" I looked down at him. He still can't believe what I'm doing to him.

"Y-You knew her?! S-She killed m-my.. she killed mom." He said struggling before he fell asleep. I smiled lightly. I just did a bit but he fainted in pain. How pitiful.

"I know. Nararapat lang 'yon sa taong kagaya nyo." I said slapping his face to wake him up. Making sure he heard what I said before the medics brought him to the infirmary. I looked up who's clapping. It was her. Our Ace. She saved me, Soul and her. The guys helped too. She sent me a sign and ran up the stairs leaving me. I smiled and wiped the blood from some of my wounds on my face.

Pumunta akong infirmary at nakita ko roon si Rico na nasa kama niya parin. he's paralyzed ny his own poison. I can't even believe when Max told me it was Ace who did this. He looked relaxed. his pupils followed me.

"I beat Gaus. It's your turn to make him suffer after this." I said leaving him and proceeded upstairs to watch Soul's fight or maybe Ace's. 

I'm so sorry Ace for what I'm about to do.
