Maybe I didn't think this through.

We're driving to his parents house.

Now, I think I'm overthinking this now. We're friends. Right? It's normal to meet your friends' parents. He did yesterday. Well, one.

Is that just me? Or are we not even friends?

But, me being me. I wanted to meet this wonderful family. They seem wonderful and I'm sure it won't be awkward. Hopefully. I'm really counting on Nate not telling the girls any of this though. They would definitely think I like him. And I.... don't. Not really. Maybe just a little.

"Are you nervous?" He asks me as he looks over at me. It's the fifth time he's looked over at me. I've counted.

"A little." I laugh a little. What's with me being some school girl with a crush on their best friend's older brother. It literally feels like it.

"They'll love you. My mom already does and she's never met you." He chuckles.

I laugh nervously. "I hope I don't disappoint on her expectations."

"You won't. Please, just be yourself. They'll love you for you." I took a deep breath to calm my anxious thoughts and nodded.

"Okay, thank you for saying that. It really helped." I smiled timidly.

We turned onto a small street where the neighborhood's homes had lights on as the sun went down. Easton Road. That's actually a nice street name.

"It's the one on the right, right there." He points as I turn my head towards the one that was the most beautiful on the street. A small two-story ranch style house that is white with black trim. It looked magnificent.

"It's so beautiful." I say as I look back over at Nate, whose eyes were already on me.

"Thank you. Yep. I was born and raised here." He smiles as if he remembered a memory.

"Well, let's get inside I know for a fact that they are all dying to meet you." I laugh at his words.

But, before I can even think about opening my door, Nate is already there. "Hi." He says. He has this cheeky grin and raises his eyebrows.

I smile, "Thank you." I say as he puts his hand out. Getting out of a truck is easier than you think. We start walking to the door but he stops me halfway up the driveway.
