"PUT down the fruit, Libby. Nice and slowly." Atlas yelled at me from the other side of the kitchen. His green eyes were wide with mock horror. Kalen was beside him, smothering his chuckles.
I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior and continued to chop up the pineapple.
"I'm being serious, Libby. You are messing with forces that are stronger than you." He warned me, seriously.
"Stop being so melodramatic, Atlas." I chided him, my lips forming a thin straight line.
"Alright, you asked for it, Libby. Don't say I didn't warn you," He declared, squaring his broad shoulders.
A warrior's battle cry passed through his lips as he thundered over to me. Just as he was inches away from me, I stepped to the side and let him crash into the counter.
A strangled moan came from him, followed by a few curse words.
My arms crossed over my chest as I stared at him in amusement. Kalen was on the floor, laughing so hard he had tears sprouting from his eyes.
"No fair," Atlas muttered, weakly.
"You're the one who wanted to attack me" I pointed out, matter of factly.
He groaned and straightened his body, whilst covering his stomach. His features were scrunched up in pain. "Doesn't mean you had to let me run into the counter. That table is a fucking killer."
This wasn't the first time he had done that. He had a habit of running into it. The counter just loved him too much to part with him.
I huffed, "Now will you let me finish making my pizza?"
