"ALPHA Gabriel," A familiar, hard voice broke us apart.

Blinking, I cleared my throat and stepped away from Gabriel, keeping my face neutral. I just told him I wanted to stay with him.

Did I mean it? Of course, I did. I have been dreaming about finding my αδελφή ψυχή since I was a little girl.

Beta Blade stood with his arms folded behind his back, his hazel eyes set on his Alpha. They only briefly flickered to me and to my utter surprise, there was no malice in them.

I was shocked to see him, especially after I just had an intimate moment with Gabriel.

"Yes?" Gabriel asked, clearing his throat. He didn't even seem perturbed by his Beta's presence. There wasn't even a drop of annoyance in his tone. I would have thought he'd be pissed if his Beta interrupted this delicate moment.

Taking a leaf out of Gabriel's textbook, I masked all of my emotions and rolled my shoulders back. Beta Blade briefly flickered his hazel eyes to me and then back to his Alpha.

"We have a visitor," He informed him, remaining stoic. He reminded me of Gamma Gomez at this moment.

"What kind of visitor, Blade?" Gabriel quizzed, pinning Blade down with his piercing eyes. Blade must be used to Gabriel's antics by now since he didn't seem at all frightened.

"I'm not sure. He says he needs to see you, urgently." Blade answered, just as clueless as us.

Sighing through his clenched teeth, Gabriel beckoned me to follow him. Honored that he was willing to let me sit in this important meeting, I followed after him and Blade.
