THE funeral was on a sunny day.

Hundreds of pack members, some still injured, crowded around the casket and watched it be lowered to the floor.

Muffled cries echoed throughout the pack graveyard. I scanned the area, making eye contact with a few familiar pack members opposite me. They all had looks of grief plastered on their faces.

Today was a tough day for everyone.

Especially Sabrina.

She stood to my left, clutching her brother's body, sobbing her heart out. Her skin was extremely pale, her hair disheveled. Blade was soothingly whispering words into her ears, worried for his sister. My heart shattered at the sight of her. She didn't deserve this.

Gabriel tightened his hold on me and pecked the top of my hair affectionately.

He had acquired minor injuries during the fight. All of the gashes had healed quickly but as for the broken arm, it was taking its sweet time. It had been stressful the past few days, with the death of Gabriel's Gamma and with rebuilding the pack.

I was trying to help him whilst battling my negative thoughts. Ever since I lose my powers, I felt empty.

There was a hole in my soul that I couldn't fill with anything. When I told Gabriel, he hugged me and tried to reassure me that my powers didn't make me who I was.

His words helped but he would never truly understand what it felt like to have powers one day and then not have any. Knowing I had lost them broke my heart.

My brothers shed a tear when they found out. Jacob declared he would try and find a way to get them back, believing there must be some spark left. Unbeknownst to him, I didn't feel a single trace of magic inside of me. It was all gone.
