Chapter 44

Khushi could hear his voice echoing in the room.

"Khushi I am falling in love with you"

The words she never expected to hear, the words he never expected to say. But fate has played an interesting game with them. They met under the most unusual circumstances, they bonded under the most unusual circumstances and they fell in love in the most beautiful way. 

Some people might say love at first site is the most beautiful way to fall in love. But Arnav and Khushi proved it wrong. There started as strangers, they continued as enemies and they fell in love as soul mates.

Khushi's chain of thoughts broke when she heard his voice.

"Khushi, it is enough for me to be sure that you and I exist at this moment but I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, so Miss Khushi, what do you say, shall forget about all those contracts and marry each other for real?"

Khushi looked around the room. This room is where it all started. Where they had their first close encounter, where they agreed to marry each other at the end of 6 months, where he gave her the key to life, and today they stood there changing the past. 

Almost 6 months ago she agreed to marry him thinking never to go ahead with it. Today after almost 6 months she is here holding his hand and wishes to marry him because she has feelings for him.

"Arnav, it seems like all I have ever done in my life is make my way here to you. I have fallen in love with you even without knowing how, why, or even from where. I have felt things with you that I never thought I could feel before. Life has taught me to be brave, but it said nothing about being soft until you came my way"

Now it was Arnav's turn to feel the emotions. The emotions he thought would never come out. Khushi's every word was making it hard for him to hold on to his tears.

"Arnav, when I come to you all broken and disappointed, you kissed me and brightened my day. I have never known any feeling stronger and happier than that. We are very different from one another. Our time together is unusual and unexpected. It has always been mushy, not romantic and yet, there's no other kind of love I want in my life. I am falling in love with you Arnav and yes, I will be the happiest if we can forget about the contracts and be with each other for real"

Arnav got up and hugged Khushi. Neither of them knew when they fell in love and where they fell in love. They only knew right there, at the moment they both have fallen in love with each other.

Arnav broke the hug and looked at Khushi.

"I am sorry Khushi, I wasn't planning on doing this here so I don't have a ring. But I'll be more than happy to seal the deal with a kiss"

Saying that he captured her lips and in seconds Khushi started responding. Both of them felt like they have been starved to death and finally found food. That kiss had everything. The love, passion, lust, respect, honesty and a lifetime. Arnav was the first to break the kiss. Khushi was panting. They both needed some air.

"This room is definitely lucky for us isn't it?"

Arnav pulled Khushi and side-hugged her. Khushi keep her head on his shoulder but remained silent. She wasn't out of the shock yet.

"Khushi, are you ok? This is the longest you've gone without speaking ever since we met?"

"My mouth was kind of occupied if you missed it"

"Ah, and she is back. So now what?"

"What what?"

"How do you want to tell this? I personally think we should not tell your bosses or my contacts there about this. Let's leave them to believe we are doing this for the contract"
