Chapter 31 ~ Ending A Murderous Nightmare

"Your back all ready, is everything okay," Magnus asks after opening the door and kissing his girl. "I've been worried after I heard about the attacks"

"I don't know," Evangeline says as she sits beside Sofia who was playing with his toys on the ground. "You know how everything is that's going on."

"If there's anything I can do to help," he says

"Could...could I have 1 strand of your hair," she says as Magnus looks at her confused "just to show the others you had nothing to do with what's going on."

Magnus was quiet at first and just stared at his girl before smiling and nodding talking 1 strand of hair of his head and putting it in a small paper envelope for her.

"Will that be enough," he says and she nods before keeping it in her pocket.

"I will be back as soon as I can," she says giving Magnus a deep kiss to which he returned.

He moved some hair from Evangeline's face and smiled

"I love you," he says as she smiles

"I love you too," she says as Sofia looks to Magnus and Evangeline.

"Ma ma ma, da da da," she says making Magnus and Evangeline chuckle only to become confused when they see Derek at their door step

"Derek is everything okay," Evangeline asks standing up

"Imogen's gone nuts and so has Jace," Derek says as he sits on a chair.

Evangeline and Magnus look to each other before to Derek

"What happened in the time I left," Evangeline asks

Derek then explained how Imogen kicked Simon and he out of the institute since they were down worlders and recommended to put chips into the down worlders neck. Hearing this made Evangeline and Magnus shocked. Derek also told them that before he left, he yelled at Jace reminding him that Evangeline and Sofia were also both part Down worlders. This had shut Jace up right away and that even Imogen couldn't say anything because he was right. Evangeline was a Shadowhunter first before a quadbrid while Sofia was a full quadbrid. Derek told them how he didn't hear anything Alec said when he called out and just came here

"I didn't mean to disturb you guys but Eva, I suggest you stay here for some time," Derek says "message clary for updates or hell try to go help Izzy but not Alec or Jace"

Evangeline sighed and nodded. What the hell was Jace thinking to do something like this?

"I'm going to help Izzy," she says to Magnus and Derek before looking to Magnus "keep an eye on Sofia"

"I will don't worry now help Isabelle," Magnus says as she heads to the balcony and closes her eyes before she could feel her Phoenix wings opening up.

She turned and looked to Magnus and Derek who were smiling but she could tell they were shocked. She winked at them before flying to find Isabelle wherever she was in the city.

"By the Angel Max, what are you doing here," she heard Isabelle say and headed to her location where Isabelle, Rapheal and Max looked her way,
