I couldn't believe it had already been a week since the announcement, and now the celebration was here. I couldn't help but feel the weight of the past week. It had been a whirlwind of preparations, emotions.

I realized that a full week had passed since that unexpected moment in my bedroom with Asher. In the midst of the engagement party, my mind couldn't help but revisit that intimate moment when Asher had brushed away a trace of chocolate from the corner of my lips with his thumb. The sensation of his touch, the warmth of his thumb against my skin, had sent shivers down my spine. But what had left me even more bewildered was when he had nonchalantly licked that same thumb.
I felt a surge of desire and attraction.

I was jolted out of my thoughts when Sophia, offered me a cupcake. As I enjoyed the cupcake Lily entered the living room with a radiant smile, and my engagement dress.Lily's enthusiastic voice filled the room as she informed me, "Addy, your makeup team will be here in about 20 minutes."

"You should have a quick shower before they arrive," she suggested with a warm smile.I nodded in agreement and headed to my room, ready to take a quick shower before the makeup team arrived.I slipped into my red lacy undergarments and then wrapped a robe around myself. As I emerged from the bathroom, I found the makeup team already at work, arranging the necessary products and tools.

The makeup artist expertly worked on my look, emphasizing my features with a subtle, natural touch that would complement the grace of my engagement dress. My hair was elegantly styled in loose waves, flowing down my back with a touch of romantic charm.

As my makeup and hair were finally completed, Lily entered the room with an excited smile. Lily looked stunning in a floor-length, elegant dress. The gown was a deep shade of midnight blue, adorned with intricate lace details that added a touch of sophistication to the ensemble.

Lily assisted me in slipping into my engagement dress.  My engagement dress was a vision of elegance and sophistication. It was a floor-length gown in a deep shade of emerald green, with intricate lace detailing that adorned the bodice and flowed down the skirt. The dress accentuated my figure, and its sweetheart neckline added a touch of romance to the overall look.

Lily, who had been helping me get dressed, let out an appreciative gasp as she looked at me in my engagement dress. Lily playfully complimented me and teased, "You look stunning, Addy. Maybe you should ditch Asher and marry me instead!" I chuckled at Lily's comment and replied, "As tempting as that sounds, I think I'll stick with the plan for now." Lily playfully pouted at my response, but she couldn't hold back her laughter for long.

Sophia entered my room with my adorable nephew, Evan. His bright eyes and joyful expression brought a smile to my face. Evan, in his innocent and sweet way, called me "pretty" and planted a gentle kiss on my cheek as I bent down to greet him with a warm "hi."Sophia and Lily couldn't help but exclaim, "Aww," at Evan's sweet and endearing compliment and kiss.

I smiled at Evan and said, "You're looking handsome, Evan." He responded with a heartwarming, "Thank you, Addy aunty." Evan settled on my bed, making himself comfortable. With a warm smile, Sophia complimented me and remarked, "You look absolutely stunning, Addy. Asher is a lucky guy."

Lily  rolled her eyes, and I couldn't help but internally scoff at Sophia's comment about Asher being a lucky guy. However, I maintained a polite and fake smile, not wanting to spoil the mood.Sophia then turned to me and said, "A certain someone sent a gift," while revealing a beautifully wrapped jewelry box.

With a mix of curiosity, I opened the box and found a stunning emerald necklace inside. Alongside the exquisite jewelry, there was a note that read, "I hope you wear it, Blue." It was clear that Asher had sent this beautiful emerald necklace, as he was the only one who ever used the ridiculous nickname "Blue" when referring to me.

With Lily's assistance, I put on the emerald necklace, and together we joined Sophia and Evan in heading down to the living room. As I entered the living room, my parents enveloped me in warm hugs and exclaimed how beautiful I looked. My brother Christian gave me a hug, and in a low, reassuring tone, he whispered, "Beautiful."

My dad shared the news that Asher had arrived to take me to the venue of the engagement party, leaving me with a sense of anticipation and a bit of nervousness about the evening ahead. The engagement party was being held at one of the Carter's hotels, and it was about an hour's drive from our home.Asher entered the living room and greeted my family with his usual charm and politeness.

Asher's engagement attire was undeniably impressive. He wore a perfectly tailored black suit that accentuated his lean and distinguished figure. His crisp white shirt and a black tie added a touch of sophistication to the ensemble, making him look every bit the charming billionaire he was. What caught my eye was the emerald green pocket square he had chosen to accessorize with. It perfectly matched the emerald green dress I was wearing.

When Asher caught me checking him out, a sudden warmth filled my cheeks, and I looked away, slightly embarrassed. But there was a knowing smirk on his lips, a subtle acknowledgment of the unspoken tension between us.

With a graceful stride, Asher approached me and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. His warm lips brushed against my skin, sending a delightful tingle through me. As he drew back slightly, his deep voice caressed my ear as he whispered, "You look beautiful, Blue."
