Jungwon stammered a lot, hesitant to even look at her in the eyes. He's knew that he'd create an awkward first impression if he did so. His heart of throbbing so fast at her unannounced approach. All on her own. No one forced her to. It was his crush after all! Who wouldn't be nervous.
"You know my name already?"
Of course. How could I not-
"Of course, you're my classmate after all"
"Ah- that makes me feel guilty that I'm just learning your name"
She hung her head low. Jungwon panicked not knowing how to handle that situation. He didn't wanna say something that'd offend her.
"It's fine. Not everyone needs to learn people's names"
He scratched his nape giving her an awkward yet reassuring smile.
She smiled at him.
Calm down, my heart, please.
"You're...Harua's friend right?"
He removed his hand from his nape as his smile fell.
"Yeah...?"
"Oh great. Just so you know, he's my partner in this project. He talks a lot, I mean, a LOT about you"
She stressed a bit more on the 'lot' emphasizing it.
"He- does-?"
"Yeah! I barely talk to people other than to the little friends I have. He made me feel so welcomed. He said that you were the same so I'm here to, ask you, if it's okay for us to be friends..??"
I wanna be more, but...
"Is that even question?! Of course. I'm happy to be your friend!"
She smiled widely as blood rose up to his cheeks.
"I'll go back to my seat now, see you during recess hours Jungwon!"
