👼 MY ANGEL 👼

As they drove away, Elsa opened her bag and took out some painkillers. She swallowed them dry before lying back down on the seat.

Jeremy had never seen Elsa take medicine for her tumor and was curious to know what it was. But he didn't ask at that moment; instead, he promised himself to check later.

He had reached out to the best doctors, who were now reviewing Elsa's case based on the medical report Jeremy had given them about her tumor in the past.

He wasn't going to tell Elsa all about it, so as not to get her hopes up, especially when nothing was guaranteed.

Jeremy kept driving the car, occasionally checking on Elsa. "Are you okay, Elsa?" he asked after driving for five minutes.

Elsa had stopped holding her head and wincing. She had also stopped crying and looked calmer after taking her pills.

"Yeah, I feel better," she breathed as she sat up straight on the car seat. But she kept looking down as she took deep breaths.

"Did you get a headache because of your brain tumor?" Jeremy asked carefully. He knew the answer, but wanted Elsa to say it.

That question took Elsa by surprise. She raised her eyes and looked at Jeremy. Turns out he knew she still had a brain tumor. 'Did he know from the moment I came back to him? Or did my headache a few minutes ago give it away?'

Elsa went quiet and didn't answer. She had always thought that if her enemies knew she had a tumor, they would use it against her. And now, one of them did.

Seeing Elsa quiet, Jeremy asked with a gentle tone, "What about I take you to the hospital so we can get you checked up?"

Elsa's eyes shot up. What if he knew how serious her tumor was at that moment and used that information to punish and torture her? No, she wasn't going to the hospital and letting him find out.

"I'm okay. I don't need a hospital," Elsa said bluntly.

Jeremy truly wanted to know how serious Elsa's condition was so that the doctors he was in contact with could have an idea. "Please, Elsa. I'm only looking out for you," he pleaded.

That made Elsa snap at him. "I don't need you to look out for me. I have taken care of myself just like this entire time without you."

Elsa was extremely dismissive with her tone. Her mind was telling her that Jeremy knowing about her tumor would be something he would use soon to hurt her.

Seeing Elsa about to get angry, Jeremy had no choice but to back down. "Okay, you don't have to go if you don't want to."

Elsa sighed with relief when she heard that.

What would it take for Elsa to agree for him to take her to his doctor to get a check-up? Jeremy wondered.

But seeing Elsa was better, he decided to proceed with the next part of his plans that night. But just in case, he made sure to pay close attention to Elsa. If anything happened to her, he would take her home immediately.

It only took one corner for Elsa to notice that Jeremy was taking a different route, one that would not take them to his villa.

"Where are we going, Jeremy?" she asked, hoping that Jeremy was not trying to force her to go to the hospital, because she would use the fighting skills she had learned on him.

Jeremy gave Elsa a quick glance as he answered, "To the cemetery." He then went back to watching the road. Elsa was confused by his answer.

"The cemetery, why?" she asked.

"There are some people I have to apologize to first," Jeremy said with a small smile.

Some people?

Elsa raised her left eyebrow and asked, "Who?"

Instead of Jeremy feeding her curiosity, he simply said, "You'll see."

Elsa narrowed her eyes and looked at Jeremy, but did not say anything more.

Jeremy stopped at the flower shop near the cemetery and bought four bouquets of flowers before returning to the car.

"Could you please hold them for me, Elsa?" he asked as he got back in the car.

"Sure," Elsa said, taking the flowers from Jeremy.

Jeremy fastened his seatbelt and started driving again. Elsa watched him curiously as he drove them to the cemetery, but didn't say anything. She wondered what all this was about.

Her brain tumor had stopped hurting, and at that moment, she felt much better.

After a few minutes, they reached the cemetery. Jeremy opened the car door for Elsa and helped her out of the car. He then took the flowers from her so she didn't have to carry them anymore.

He took her hand and started leading her into the cemetery.

While holding the roses earlier, Elsa noticed something about them. So, she inquired, "Jeremy, I noticed that three of those rose bouquets have 15 roses and they are red in color. But the fourth one is peach, and I can't even tell how many there are because it's a big bouquet. Why did you choose them like that? Is there a specific reason?"

Jeremy turned to look at Elsa for a few seconds before looking back at where he was walking her to. He then said, "Yes, angel. You'll find out soon."

When Elsa heard him calling her that, her heart skipped a beat. "Why are you calling me angel?" she immediately inquired, her tone sounding more impatient than she wanted it to.

Jeremy was calm, not turning to look at Elsa this time. He was focused on leading her so she wouldn't trip or anything. "You look like an angel to me, the voice I heard one day, the angel I saw one day," he said, referring to the day he almost died. Although Victoria was the one who saved him, he wished it had been Elsa. Glancing at her, he asked, "Can I call you that? If you don't mind, that is."

Elsa's mind was consumed with thoughts of Gwen at that moment. Since Jeremy didn't mention hearing the nickname from Gwen, Elsa tried to calm down. She said nothing to answer Jeremy and continued walking beside Jeremy.

To her surprise, he led her to her family's graves.
