The charging chamber's door would only automatically open when the system's energy was fully charged. Now, with the charging interrupted, the blue light surrounding the System 07 flickered twice and was forced into a sleep mode—

Anyway, its emotional program hadn't been developed, so it didn't have feelings like anger to begin with.

After the turtle finished its actions, it crawled back to the ground. It looked up at Little King Kong and swayed its tail lightly: "Well, 07 can't come out now."

Little King Kong pressed against the chamber door and sighed with naïveté, "Wow, Little Turtle, you're so clever!"

The turtle shook its tail in response and then crawled back to the edge of the fish tank, dropping in with a splash. It liked sleeping. Little King Kong had just disturbed its nap, and now it needed to catch up on its sleep.

Seeing this, Little King Kong had no choice but to continue staying inside the charging chamber, waiting for the energy to replenish. Its energy loss was severe, and the mainboard program had sustained varying degrees of damage. Charging wasn't as fast as the System 07; it would take at least a whole day.

The time flow in the cosmic space station was different from that of the human world, but Little King Kong never calculated how different it was. It lay on the semi-transparent chamber door, looking through the light curtain at the space station outside. A serene and beautiful aqua-blue planet floated silently amidst the vast stars.

Ming Zhou was there.

Suddenly, Little King Kong felt a bit sad, and even its light dimmed a bit.

It missed Ming Zhou...

It was rare for a machine to suddenly experience such an emotion. When the Cosmic Executive finished her business and returned to the office, she saw the brightest diamond among them suddenly dimming, as if enveloped by the darkness of the night.

The Cosmic Executive slowly approached Little King Kong, her high heels clicking on the floor of the spacious office, sounding clear yet lonely. She slightly bent down, her gaze tenderly fixed on the situation inside the chamber, and asked, "Little King Kong, are you feeling sad?"

Little King Kong pressed against the semi-transparent chamber door, seeming to want to get out, and replied in a simple and somewhat sorrowful tone, "Executive, I feel a bit like crying."

The Executive paused, "But Little King Kong, I never implanted a program of sadness in you, and systems don't cry. You are not humans..."

Little King Kong looked at her with pleading eyes, "Can I become human?"

Because of its words, the air suddenly became silent.

The Executive looked at the small system in front of her, not understanding why a machine made up of programs would have such a thought. She moved her fingers slightly, and suddenly, countless light balls appeared in the air, acting like a big screen, showing the lives of many people.

"Do you know what it means to be human?"

"They age, get sick, and die; they can't escape their fate..."

"They are controlled by destiny and have no control over their lives..."

"They often miss opportunities and regret, and without a chance to start over, such a life is very bitter..."

With the Executive's narration, the scenes in the light balls kept changing. They depicted various humans, some dying young from illness, some from accidents, and some blinded by greed, regretting only at the end.

The sound of cicadas from the human world echoed countless times, and they regretted countless times.

The Executive's voice echoed distantly in the office, "Sometimes, being a system is much simpler than being human..."
