"Tell them that's not an option. Boss wants it tonight. I don't care, get it done or the boss will come after you. He has plans tonight and he doesn't want them messed up." Calus talks urgently on the phone.

"NO. Yes, he's here right now. With the looks he's giving me you really-okay if you insist." Calus takes a deep breath and faces Tamsin.

"The idiot wants to talk to you and explain why he's ruining your plans for the evening." Calus says as he hands over his phone. Tamsin's expression hadn't changed but the beast doesn't like the change in plans, he'd been looking forward to spending time with Michael and Jenna.

"You better have a very good reason for me to be missing out on something I've planned for over a week. Just because, if you don't get that shipment ready you won't be getting laid ever again. I won't be missing out on my plans just because some whore from another city is visiting for tonight only. Yes she is, I'm not stupid, I've read her bio when they first started advertising about coming here. She asked me for permission, Jenks, she is a whore. Now if you hurry and get your work done and done properly I'll set you up with her for dinner after her performance. She said that she owes me and wants to pay me so I'll let her take you to dinner. But if you don't I'll kill you in the most painful way possible. Yeah, I thought you'd see it my way." Tamsin closes the phone and gives it back to Calus.

"After tonight get rid of Jenks, he's proving to be unreliable. Let him finish this shipment and have his dinner. Deal with him tomorrow," Tamsin orders.  Calus nods his understanding.

"Damn I'm going to be late with my date with Jenna. I still have to stop and pick up..." Calus tosses him a small box. Tamsin catches it.

"I figured with things going the way they are with you and Jenna something would happen so I stopped in and picked it up for you. There's a dozen roses being delivered to her as we speak so you might want to hurry up and get over to her before she decides those flowers were delivered by mistake."

"Thanks Calus, ever since she was kidnapped last month and her guards killed trying to get her out has been hard. I want this night perfect. Shelby-"

"Is already there helping Jenna get ready. She's acting like you're getting married or something. Or going on a first date. You two have a f-lovely child together, what's the big deal?"

"It's her birthday. Today, she's legal and the company is officially hers although as far as Jenna and Shelby are concerned it's Shelby's. Have you found what I asked you to find?"

"Yeah, a distant cousin. She's a leader of a small gang that is making noises about trying to take some of our business. She's also been diagnosed with cancer, she doesn't have the money for treatment." Calus says not even resorting to his notes.

"Will she be receptive to the offer?" Tamsin asks as he walks out to his car.

"She has been receptive so far." Calus replies, sadly.

"What is it Calus? This was your idea." Tamsin says shortly as he climbs into the car, the smell of the flowers making his eyes water. He'd forgotten about his allergy to flowers.

"Yes, I know and I want her to be happy but, I love her Tamsin. She deserves better than me, they've found a cousin that survived the purge. He's flaming gay and older than me, but he's adopted his sisters bastard, Camus's child. But she still needs a child of her own before the betrothal can go through. So unless Jenna wants to give up a child to Shelby, this is the best choice. It's the fact that she'll get married that bothers me. She deserves to take her proper place, but, it won't be a real marriage. That's what I want for her." Calus is miserable and Tamsin looks at him in shock. Calus in love, he never thought he'd see the day.
