Freshers (part 2)

Aisha's pov -

We entered the hall and it was a big one. I have never been to that hall before. It was decorated beautifully. Priya di went to meet her other friends. She was our senior so had to do some work. So she couldn't sit with me. I sat with nidhi, nishita, preeti, priyank, Gaurav and some other friends. Our seniors welcomed us. There were our professors sitting. Arnav was anchoring. He said, "So let's start today's event. Are you guys exited?" I was just looking at him. And everyone shouted, "yes."

Arnav's pov -

So now we will have an intro of you guys. Those who are not performing can give introduction. So please guys come to the stage. One by one students gave their intro. It was done. Then I announced, "you guys are amazing. Intro session was pretty good. Now let's begin today's main attraction, that is
the performance by you all. Shall we start?"

Everyone said, "yeeesss."
First their was a dance of nishita. She performed on the song,
"Aithey aaa." Everybody started dancing in the back. Her performance was amazing. Everyone enjoyed it.

Aisha's pov -

Nishita was dancing. We were just singing that song. We had a lot of fun. We were laughing, talking, we were just enjoying. The environment was pretty cool. Our friends started dancing in the back. They also pulled me. So I had to dance. The song was very nice. It gave us so much energy. I was dancing on that song but my eyes were searching someone. I knew who. And yes my gaze met his eyes. I felt embarrassed. So I quickly shifted my gaze and said to nidhi, "let's go from here. You already danced a lot. Save some energy for your performance" she realized that she had to save some energy for her song too. So we came back to our seats. Every performance was fabulous. It was nidhi's turn to sing. She went to the stage. Seniors were arranging the instruments on stage. Arnav was checking his guitar. He also announced, "please be ready Miss Aisha Sharma for your song." I was obviously getting nervous after hearing that. Nidhi started singing. Everyone loved her performance. Our friends were just taking photos, videos. Specially some girls were filming him, Arnav. Her song was done. Everyone clapped. I was also happy because it was really nice. But at the same time I was nervous too. Please God help me. He announced, "now please welcome miss Aisha Sharma on stage." He was looking at me. I also looked at him. He gave me such expression through his eyes that meant you'll be okay. I went to the stage and stood beside Arnav, in the middle of the stage. He said, "don't get nervous. It will be amazing. Trust me." How could I not trust him😊. He started playing the guitar and oh my God. The intro part of the song was just fabulous. Everyone cheered me up. He looked at me and gave me a hint to start singing. I started,

"dehleez pe mere dil ki
Jo rakhe hei tu ne kadamm"

The song was really calming. Everyone loved it. Nidhi was taking videos. He looked at me while playing the guitar and gave me a little smile. I got encouraged and yes I was singing well. Then the song came to an end and yes it was perfect. Everyone clapped and I felt so good. He said, "I told you that it would be okay. Now see, it was perfect." I said, "thank you so much." He just smiled. And then I came back to sit and enjoyed the rest of the performance. In the middle of the event our seniors also served us drinks. We were dancing, singing, laughing. It was just a beautiful day. We really had a lot of fun. I didn't know that Arnav would sing a song. But everyone requested him to sing a song and yes he did. He went to the stage and sat on a chair. Our friends were very excited to hear his voice. After all he was the perfect guy for our friends. So girls were getting excited. He started playing guitar. The intro part was just amazing. He was singing "Samjhawan" and oh my God his voice was just fabulous. I couldn't even express in words. He started singing,

"Mei tainu samjhawan Ki
Na tere bina lagda Jii.
Tu ki jane pyaar mera...."

Literally it gave me goosebumps. Everybody was just taking videos of him. I was looking at him. He was literally the definition of a solid guy. He is nice to everyone, he respects everyone, he is kind. He has all the good qualities. I just fell for him. I said to myself, "how many times you're going to tell lie Aisha. Yes you like him." yes I finally excepted that I liked him. His beautiful performance was done. Everyone shouted. He just smiled and said, "Thank you. And I think that you all enjoyed my song." our friends shouted by saying, "yes of course." There were only the sound of clapping which he of course deserved. He came to sit because he was a bit tired. After all he and his friends managed the event and he was also anchoring. He was coming to sit but the seats were almost full. Some seniors were even standing but then one of his friends said, "hey Arnav I'm sure you want to sit. Right? But the seats are almost full. Look we are also standing. But wait I'll find you a seat." He said, "yes please find one." Then Nidhi stood up. I asked her, "where are you going?" She said, "I want to give him a seat. He is a good guy." she went to Arnav. He came towards me. I was feeling happy and nervous because what would I talk to him. And I always get nervous infont of him. I was blushing. He sat beside me and looked at me. I was looking at the stage where our HOD sir was giving his speech. He said, "hey, are you enjoying the event?" I said, "yaa. Your song was just amazing. You have such a nice voice." He said, "thank you" He gave me a cute smile. Then we both paid attention to what sir was saying. But then after some time one of his friend named Niti called him and he went. He said, "don't go now OK we have food for you all." I said, "oh okay." Then Nidhi came and said, "what did you guys talk?" I said, "I just appreciated his voice that's it and he told us to wait for the food." She said, "couldn't you talk to him properly. You could have talked to him. He was sitting right next to you. You are such a silly girl. If other girls were on the place of you. They would asked his number. Got it. Silly girl." I just said, "okay okay." and smiled. Sir's speech was over. He talked about our department and about English literature. Then it was time for food. Seniors served us fried rice which was packed and juice and sweets. I didn't see him at that time. I felt a little sad. Then we all went outside to click some pictures and take some videos, reels. I saw him outside. He was clicking pictures with our friends. I heared a girl saying to him, "can you please take a picture with you. I'll share it with my friends. Caption will be 'with the hansom guy of our department" Then she laughed. He said, "sure sure." I also wanted to click one photo with him. But I couldn't say that to him. So I took a lot of pictures with my friends and with priya Di's friends. They were so kind. They treat me like their own sister. Then one of them said, "hey Arnav, we also want to take pics with you. Come here. Junior girls, your time is over. Now we'll take pics with our dear friend Arnav." He came towards us and said, "okay okay sure. I'll make videos with you also." everyone laughed. His other friends also came and we took group photos, videos. Priya di said, "Arnav take one pic with Aisha." I said, "it's okay priya di I'm not demanding for it. It's okay. We already took group photos with him. No need for a solo one." She said, "no you have to pretty girl." He smiled at me when he heard that, "if she is uncomfortable than it's okay." I said, "I'm not uncomfortable." Priya di just dragged us towards a nice place where the light was good. I didn't know why she was forcing so much. We stood close to each other. Even our hands touched. I made a little distance. I gave a bright smile and he also. She took the photos. And then priya di said, "takes some photos of me and Aisha." He took some photos of us. Priya di went to her friends to say bye to them. I was waiting there. He was also there. I felt a little distance because we had nothing to talk. I was looking here and there. Then he said, "why are you nervous? I will not scold you. Are you afraid of me? Kya mei itna bura huu?" I quickly said, "no you're not. I'm not afraid of you. I have nothing to talk to you so... " He said, "okay okay. No problem. Say something." I said, "what? Seriously I don't know what to talk to you. Sorry." He said while smiling, "okay okay. You don't have to say sorry to me for that." Then priya di came and said, "okay guys let's go." He said, "I'll go with nitesh. You go." She said, "okay but where is he?" He said, "He is coming." Then we both headed to our hostel. I said to him, "bye then. And thank you." He said, "but why thank you" I said, "mm I don't know. But thank you." I smiled at him. I was being stupid. He said, "haha you don't  even know why. And you're thinking me. That's so funny. Okay bye. See you tomorrow. Bye priya Didi." she said, "I'm not your Didi okay." He laughed and we both went to our hostels......
