Cole's POV

A group of fifty men walk into Rivera restaurant and they start yelling at Luca in Italian.

His face pales and he apologises to them in his native tongue. He leads the group to a table and we start to come up with a plan to rescue the girls.

A beeping sound comes from Luca's phone and he looks at it. A smile spreads across his face. "Ah, smart girl. She's activated the tracker on her wedding band."

A tall guy with dark hair and blue eyes looks at me and says. "Who are you?" I can tell he has a lot of power and he must be the head of his own family.

Holding my hand it to him I say. "Cole Mason. It's nice to meet you."

A smile spreads across his face. "Ah, I recognise you. You're the kid that was supposed to take over for the family in New York, but your father took off before he could take over and that left your Uncle and his family in the seat."

"That's right. I'm also the one that has to fight my family to keep that cousin in the head seat. He deserves to be there and I'm where I want to be. Can we stop talking and get ready to get the girls back from wherever they are."

He holds his hand up. "Sorry, dude. I shouldn't have talked about your family. I don't know anything about them. I'm Lucias Reale."

It's good to have a name to go with the face.

Luca brings the laptop over to me and points at the map. "They're being held in a building in Las Vegas. I have a few men out that way and they are going to stake out the place until we get there."

"It's going to take us 3 hrs and 47 minutes. A lot of things can happen in that time. Whoever has the girls can cause a lot of harm to them." I say, running my hands through my hair.

I should have stayed out here with Julia instead of talking to Luca. All this could have been avoided.

Luca pulls his phone out of his pocket and dials a number. Putting it on loudspeaker he waits for the person on the other end to pick up.

Voice: Hello, this is Vincent.

Luca: Hey, Vincent. What have you found at the warehouse?

Vincent: People are going in and out. There's two females inside that seem to be in charge and your girls are on the bottom level.

Luca: Are they hurt?

Vincent: I can't tell if they're hurt. Your girl is sitting on the ground and the other one is on a chair. I can only see their body frames and nothing else.

Me: That's not fucking helpful.

Grabbing a chair I throw it across the room. "If she's hurt everyone in that fucking warehouse won't come out alive." I type the address into my phone and walk out the door. Opening the driver's side of my car I climb in. As I'm about to slam the door shut it's held by hand. Following the hand I see that it's Lucias Reale.

"Get out of the car. I'll drive. You're not in the right frame of mind and I don't want to see you cause an accident. I'm worried about my niece, but I know how to keep a cool composure unlike you. You're really worked up."

My phone buzzes and I pull it out of my pocket. Looking at it I see 'Amalia' flash across the screen.

Me: Hey, Amalia.

Amalia: Don't hey, me. Have you found her yet?

Me: She's at a warehouse in Las Vegas. I'm getting in the car and heading over there.

Amalia: Give me the address. I'll send some men over there to help you out with it. It's going to take me awhile to get there as I have a few things to take care of here.

Me: You don't have to come out.

Amalia: Yes, I do. My friend is in trouble and I'd do anything to help her out. I'm going to call Brielle and let her know what's going on. She deserves to know.

Me: No, if you tell her. She'll tell her husband and then there will be more people involved in this shit storm and I don't want that.

Amalia: Fine, I won't call her. Call me when you get our girl out of there.

Me: I will. I'm sure she'll love to see a friendly face.

Hanging up the phone I climb out of the car and move over to the passenger side. Climbing inside I put the seatbelt on and wait for Lucias to pull out of the parking lot.

He reverses the car and then put it in drive taking us away from the restaurant. "Luca, his men and my men are following behind. We're going to get the girls out and then you can take yours home."

Shaking my head I say. "I think we're going to stay in Vegas for a couple of days. I don't want to travel home and have her father see her if she's injured. He has enough to worry about. Especially, with his wife not being well."

"Have you told her father? Because if you haven't I'm sure he'd kick your ass for not telling him."

Turning towards him I say. "I called him. He's not happy about it. Since, his sons are part of the team that took her."

"Fucking hell. I never thought someone could have family members that want them dead besides ours. What did she do to her brother's for them to do this to her?"

"She hasn't done anything. Julia's been living abroad for a couple of years and before that she was living in New York with a girl she thought was her best friend. This girl is also behind Julia being taken. She's the one that organised everything that went down at the restaurant."

Lucias pulls the car to the side of the road. "She has a number of people with skills on her side. Do you know who they work for? I want to know everything before I storm the building to save my niece."

"I don't know anything." I tell him truthfully. "From what I could tell is that they are professional. So, I'd say they have sniper training and could have been part of the army."

He looks in the side view mirror. "Can you tell me the name of the girl involved in this? I want my men to run a background check on her. There's probably stuff you missed out when you searched her."

I never searched her name. I didn't think she would be bad news for her, but it looks like I'm going to have to do a background check on everyone that enters our lives. I want Julia to be safe and not put in a situation like this again.

"Veronica Kilmer."

Lucias passes me the phone. "Call Jake and let him know what I want him to do. I'm going to concentrate on driving now." He pulls back onto the road as I make the phone call.

During the conversation I learn a lot about Veronica and find out just how dangerous that girl truly is.
