So is someone going to find out what Melanie's secret is?

Jaxon's POV

Melanie looked really worried when I told her about becoming alpha. I mean I was too but I had to take the responsibility of that role.

Melanie asked me if she could go on a walk. I didn't really want her alone but she didn't want me to go.

I finally let her go telling her to be safe.

She said that she didn't want me to go, so I asked for Anthony in my mind link.

'Can you come to my room, Anthony?'

'Sure Jaxon I'll be there in a minute.' he replied.

I just sat on the bed while waiting for him to come. I was in deep thought about my future and Melanie. I still can't get over how my mate was a human.

And what happened the night I marked her? How did she change?

It was all very confusing. I've only heard that the changes happen to werewolves, not humans. The only way it was possible was if she was a-

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the door opened. When I looked up, I saw Anthony.

"You asked for me?"

"I need you to do a favor for me."

"What is it Jaxon?" he asked a bit skeptical and curious about what I needed from him.

"We'll my mate, Melanie went for a walk. I need you to follow her and make sure she's safe." I wanted someone with her at all times. I saw what happened to her dad when he lost his mate, and I for sure don't want that to happen to either of us.

"Sure, see ya."

"See ya," I needed to know if she is alright.

I watched as he walked out the door. What am I going to do? For some reason, I was talking to my dad about becoming alpha, when she walked up to me and wrapped her arms around me. It felt wrong and I felt nothing. I thought she was in the shower.

I'm not really sure what happened. Yes, I was a playboy, but I'm trying to change for my mate. Even if she is human, without her, my wolf would eventually die.

I tried not liking her at school. But I was the cool kid at school, and I always felt a pull to her. Every time I would hurt her it felt like my heart was breaking. i don't know what I'd do without my Melanie.

Anthony's POV

Jaxon really did seem to love this human. And he would do anything for her, I mean that's what mates are suppose to do. I didn't find my mate yet. I really don't care what, or who she is. I will spoil her, and love her to the end of the earth. I will protect her at all costs.

Jaxon was a little harder. He isn't the type to stick around the same girl for so long. I really do hope this Melanie girl helps him. We both know he needs it.

I was walking around following her scent. Her scent led into the forest. Uh oh, I better hurry or else Jaxon will kill me if anything happens to her.

I shifted and started on the trail again. Man this girl can run fast because I've been out her in wolf form for 10 minutes now, and I still didn't reach her. I was about to give up and call for help, when I heard something moving around up ahead. I walked on, only to find an open field with flowers of all different sorts scattered across the meadows ground. I kept looking around when I saw a wolf cuddled up to one of the largest trees.

This wolf was pure white, and absolutely gorgeous.

I took a step forward, still in a trance and of course I have to go and step on a stick. I heard it break and the wolfs ears go up before the beautiful ice blue eyes open up. This wolf hid behind a tree, and I heard bones breaking. I wonder who that was.

A minute later I saw someone peek out from behind the tree.

Oh my god, that rare, beautiful wolf was Jaxon's mate, Melanie.

"Melanie is that you?" I asked, I already knew the answer I just couldn't believe it. This whole time the pack thought she was just are human slave. And Jaxon, oh my god, Jaxon, what will he think.

"Please don't tell anyone, not yet, please," I heard her begging. she was starting to freak out.

"It's okay, you can calm down." I reassured her, "but just so know, Jaxon is your mate and it wrong to lie to him, you might want to tell him before you become Luna and he finds out the hard way."

She hesitated before I saw one silent tear stream down her face. I felt a bit broken. I mean she is about to become Luna and I upset her, I'm suppose to be ashamed.

"Okay, I will tell him tonight once were alone, where no one can hear me talking."

"Okay, we'll we should head back, we both have things to do."

Without another word we headed back to the pack house. She went to Jaxons room and I went to mine. I don't want to be here when she tells him. most likely, it won't be pretty.
