Melanie's POV

"How? What?" I asked my mother and brother.

"You had to get your powers somewhere, sweetie," my mom replied.

I looked back at the dead imposter.

He had brown eyes and brown hair.

If I had to guess he was about 35 years old.

Yuck! I am sixteen and he was going to try to do something with me.

This monster is sick!

"What kinds do you have?" I asked my family.

"What kind of what?" Josh asked.

These people were really getting on my nerves, "powers! What kind of powers do you have?!" I screamed at them.

My mother was the first one to break the silence, "I have powers to freeze anything, and your brother can burn anything. I'm not really sure how he got fire powers when I have ice powers but that's what we got," she sounded so normal like this was an everyday thing.

I was going to respond but was cut off by Anthony running in out of breath.

"Luna, we caught a trail of Jaxon's scent leading to the blood moon pack."

"Well what are we waiting for, let's go get the alpha back!" I jumped out of bed and grabbed my clothes since I was still in the hospital gown.

This was a werewolf hospital so shifting hopefully wouldn't worry anyone.

I wrapped my clothes around my leg and shifted.

Quickly I followed Anthony into the woods.

When I finally caught my mates scent, I picked up speed and headed to the blood moon pack's territory.

'Anthony, do you know where he is being held?"

'Yes, Luna, he is downstairs in the shed to the left of their pack house.'

'I'm heading in, you got my back?'

'Of course, Luna.'

This pack will never learn, 'don't call me that, I have a name.'

'Sorry Melanie.'

'It's ok.'

While Anthony was looking for any danger, I got on my stomach and snuck over to the tiny shed.

It was quiet for awhile until I heard a slice and a loud gasp.

I instantly knew who it was and barged right in, successfully breaking down the door.

Following the sounds of torture, I walked through the maze of halls. I was led to a door that was hidden in the closet.

I silently pushed it open with my muzzle before jumping back into action.

Two of their warriors came at me screaming their stupid war cries.

Me being a super stealthy ninja, I jumped over them and tried to land in a summersault, but ended up landing on my head and stumbling a few feet away from the muscle heads.

I turned around and bit of them in the shoulder before snapping the other one's foot causing him to trip.

Without looking back at them, I sprinted off to go save my mate.

'Jaxon?!' I yelled through our mate link.

He was weak and I barely heard him, 'mel?'

These people will die for what they have done to my mate!!!
