Candies And Studies

It's the candy.

The same exact kinds you saw the boy -who's name has somehow slipped your mind- buying.

You look shocked for a second, then recover quickly, telling yourself it's just a coincidence.

But the hair, and the eyes. They seem so similar.

"Cat!! You shouldn't have!"

"Oh it's nothing, I was getting some for myself at the store, and then there they were, right next to mine!"

You smile at his thoughtfulness, and take the candy.

The two of you open them, and start eating.

Talking a little between each bite.

"Hey Cat?"

"Yeah?"

"What do you do when you're not being a superhero?"

"Y/n, I'm really sorry, but I'm really not able to tell you that. I can't let you know that kind if thing, it could possibly lead you to knowing who I am, and that's dangerous. It's already a little dangerous, just hanging out with you."

"What do you mean dangerous?!"

"Well, Hawkmoth could find out that you know who I am, and he could hurt you to get to me. And I'm not gonna let that happen." He puts force behind the 'not'.

"Oh. I guess that's a good point. But if it's so dangerous, then maybe you shouldn't come anymore, and don't take that the wrong way! I love having you come over, you're awesome! But I wouldn't want to put you or my family in danger."

You look down, not able to meet his eyes, because even though he's only been coming over for less than a week, you find you've gotten attached, and don't want him to stop coming.

"Oh y/n, I won't let anything happen to you, or your family. And I can't seem to stay away, so I guess you'll have to put up with me, angel."

You blush at his words, not able to help it.

When it feels like your cheeks have returned to their normal color, you look up at him and smile.

"I wouldn't want you to stay away, kitty!" You say 'kitty' in a teasing tone, but he still has a light blush.

"Very funny." he mumbles.

You laugh at his expense and he gives you a playful glare.

The candy is long gone by now, so he takes yours and his wrappers and go throws them in the trash across the room.

He comes back over and sits on the bed.

You look back over at the school you left unattended and groan. He looks at it and smiles.

"Math huh? Yeah I don't like it either, but I'm not bad with it, if I do say so myself. You want me to help you?"

"Yes please!!"

And so he does.

And within the next 2 hours, you have all the math done.

"Thanks, kitty!" You say, not able to help the 'kitty' in your happiness to be finished with the dreaded subject.

He blushes again, its lighter this time, but still there.

Then he gets a smirk and says, "No purroblem, angel."

You knew something of the sort was coming but you still blushed.

And of course can't help giggling at the pun.

He laughs and looks at the time.

"Oh no! I had no idea it was so late! I have to get home and go to sleep so I won't fall asleep in class!"

He jumps up and so do you, giving him a quick hug, and ask if he has homework, not wanting to be the cause if he missed something.

"No thankfully, I finished it before I came."

"That's good, I wouldn't want you to get in trouble because I wanted your help. Thanks for that, by the way."

"It would've been fine, it's not due until after lunch, when I could finish it anyway. And it's no problem, I can help you anytime!"

You smile and he returns it, then walks to the door of the balcony.

"Bye y/n! See you later!"

"Bye Cat!" You wave at him as he jumps away, his black suit fading into the night.

You smile and walk back to bed, glad to be done with school for today.

The last thing you see before you fall asleep is a mental image of Cat Noir and the candy.
