Alaia's POV
Seeing the place i grew up in feels like i am coming here for the first time. So many memories here, and i see them all play out in my mind again.
It's nothing but joy and laughter as we all prepare lunch together and reminisce about the good old times.
Later in the morning, Nick calls me.
Things between us just sort of fell into place, and i feel like all my feelings for him doubled overnight.
Aware everyone is watching me as i take the call, i walk outside to talk more privately.
"Hello" i say into the phone.
"Why did you take so long to pick up?" he complains.
"Well, hello to you too Mr. Bishop, i am fine, thank you for asking" i retort playfully.
He chuckles.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"Your cellphone speaking etiquette is terrible you know" i complain too.
He laughs
"That's because i am grumpy today" he utters.
"Why is that?" i ask.
"I miss my wife, terribly, and i am spending all my time thinking of her instead of working" he says, making me smile and blush, and i am glad he can't see me.
I look back at the house and see my mom and sisters staring at me through the window, and so i turn away from them again.
"Well, that kind of happens when you don't wake up with her in the morning"
"I am not going to live that down, am i? Well, wait till you see how she wakes up tomorrow" he says, making my body tingle with anticipation.
"What are you doing?" i ask, changing the direction of the conversation.
"I told you, i am thinking of you, do you want to know the details?" he asks.
"No" I snap.
"Someone's calling me, i am going to hang up now ok?"
"Ok" His voice is calm. I know he is smiling.
"Ok" i say, not wanting to hang up.
"It's the red button on your screen babe, to cut the call" he says, teasing me further.
"I know, shut up....... and, i miss you too" i finally confess.
Zara waves at me from the kitchen window, actually calling me back.
"I got to go, bye." i hang up before he can respond.
Nickolas' POV
I hold the phone to my ear long after Ally hang up.
She finally admitted to missing me, making me smile like a fool.
I miss her.
I miss her even more now that i have spoken to her than i did before . I can't wait to see her, to be with her again.
