3rd person POV

Here to start the third period, what team is this?
It's not Team U.S.A.
Yes, it is. They've got on new uniforms.
They're wearing the logo of the duck.
I've never seen this before.

Elyse's POV

We all gathered in the box.

"Quack quack quack quack quack"We all began to chant.

We slowly became louder and louder as we went on.

"Goooo ducks"We all yelled.

The stadium erupted into noise.

Things were looking up for us, we might still be in for a chance. Connie was able to get a goal which was able to get the scores up to 2-5.

Iceland was taking the puck down the ice, I began to catch up with them and pulled in front of them, I quickly stole the puck off them before handing it off to Adam.

The audience exploded in cheers.

The Iceland player began to crack the shits, so naturally, I skated up to him.

"Awww did I upset you"I say sarcastically.

"Fuck off," He said.

I realized who it was, he's going to regret giving me that nickname.

"Oh shit did little Bambi hurt your feelings"

"I said fuck off, "He said getting angrier and angrier by the second.

"Is the big boy getting scared of the little girl" I continue

"That's it I've had enough of you for today!"

He ripped off his helmet and began to skate towards me. So naturally, I took off in the other direction. I quickly pulled off my helmet before turning and skating backward to face the player.

"Catch me if you can dumb ass," I say.

He continues to get angrier and angrier by the second. I just continued to skate around the ice having no clue what was going on.

I decided, being the smart ass I am, to stick my tongue out and wiggle my finger around my face.

"Oh come on mate your so close"

Suddenly I was stopped by the ref.

"That's enough Brondayle, your coach has called a time out, "He said.

I stopped completely and refocused on what was happening.

The crowd was going wild.
People began to copy my action of sticking my tongue out.
I had never felt so alive.

Meanwhile, the Iceland player was being restrained by the refs as he continued to lunge out at me.

"Aussie Aussie over her!"The team yells from the box.

I skate over.

"That was badass Aussie"Julie yelled.

I began to blush.

"Nice going Aussie, "Coach said.

"Now back to the plan, Charlie"

"Okay, Ducks, take a look here," Charlie said pointing down at a board

"Charlie, this isn't the NBA."

"it's the perfect teamwork play."

"Eye eye cap, "I say.

Charlie looks up at me and smiles slightly.
Oh, that smile.

"Okay line change quickly and get back out on the ice you lot" Coach said.

I quickly scooted onto the bench and watched the rest of the play.

There were ten minutes left of the final period.
It was going to be a tough ten minutes.
