A magnificent wing extended from Liu Xiao's body, unfurling to reveal its true form—an orange, fiery bird reminiscent of both a phoenix and a swan. With piercing phoenix eyes, it fixed its gaze upon the Sea Serpent's teal green ones.

Liu Xiao stood in awe, his mouth agape, as he beheld Huangtian above. Tentatively, he ran his hands over his body, half-expecting a backlash from the summoning, but to his relief, there was none. His grandfather's words had rung true. "Oh, damn, I actually summoned Huangtian. That's incredible—Urrghhhh! Suddenly feeling nauseous!"

"YOU, YOU DIMWITTED GRANDSON!"

The booming voice rattled his eardrums, and Liu Xiao winced, clutching his ears and stomach as he sank to his knees. "G-Grandpa?"

"WHY DID YOU SUMMON HUANGTIAN WITH SUCH DOUBT IN YOUR MIND?! DO YOU DOUBT MY WORDS?!"

Liu Xiao protested, "No, Grandpa! I was worried about the potential backlash on my injured body!"

"YOU'VE MADE IT WORSE! SUMMONING HUANGTIAN WITH DOUBT?! IT'S AN INSULT! YOU QUESTION HUANGTIAN'S POWER WHILE UTILIZING YOUR SPIRITUAL QI!"

Confusion clouded Liu Xiao's features. "Doubt? I didn't."

His grandpa cut him off with a frustrated click of his tongue. "HUANGTIAN IS A PROUD BEING! YOUR DOUBT HURTS HIM! RETURN HIM TO THE MYTHICAL REALM, YOU UNFILIAL GRANDSON! I WON'T CLAIM YOU AS MY OWN!"

Liu Xiao's patience snapped. "SHUT UP! I'M ALREADY NAUSEOUS FROM THE SUMMONING, AND NOW YOU'RE ONLY MAKING IT WORSE!"

"IT'S YOUR WEAK MINDSET! YOUR POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE THOUGHTS HAVE INTERMINGLED, RUINING THE SUMMONING! YOU'VE MADE HUANGTIAN SAD AND NOW YOU PLAY THE VICTIM?! APOLOGIZE AT ONCE!!!"

Liu Xiao cast a glance at Huangtian, noticing the bird's crestfallen demeanor. Huangtian returned the gaze, its fiery eyes piercing into Liu Xiao's soul.

Feeling remorseful, Liu Xiao bowed deeply before Huangtian, offering a sincere apology. "I'm truly sorry," he murmured. Huangtian seemed to acknowledge his contrition, nodding in response, his fiery demeanor softening ever so slightly.

Meanwhile, the sea serpent recoiled in astonishment, her teal-green eyes flickering with disbelief as she beheld the majestic bird and Liu Xiao. "How could you summon a mythical being of equal strength to mine?" she bellowed, her voice tinged with shock and incredulity. Her gaze bore into Liu Xiao, who appeared oblivious to the glowing orange emanating from his eyes and forehead.

Liu Xiao raised an eyebrow, perplexed by her words. "Equal strength? I don't understand."

But the sea serpent interrupted with another roar. "No! This can't be! Who are you? Are you a demigod? How can you command mythical beings and imbue them with power? Explain yourself!"

A demigod? Liu Xiao couldn't help but scoff inwardly. He couldn't even shed golden tears—how could he be a demigod? It was preposterous. However, before he could respond, the sea serpent lashed out, her tail whipping towards him. In an instant, Huangtian swooped down, its claws igniting as it intercepted the attack, scorching the Sea Serpent's scales.

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!!" the sea serpent screamed in agony. "IMPOSSIBLE! THIS CAN'T BE! HOW DARE YOU BURN ME IN MY OWN DOMAIN? ABSURD!"

Once regal and majestic in her mermaid form, the Sea Serpent now resembled a ferocious beast, consumed by rage and pain as she thrashed about. Despite the chaos, Liu Xiao couldn't help but pity her plight, allowing Huangtian to continue the struggle, burning and clawing at the Sea Serpent with relentless fervor.
