The rest of the Ark group followed behind the young warrior Leoni not daring to say a word in fear of upsetting her for a good few minutes until Marcus caught up with his daughter, longing to know the woman she's become.

"Leoni-" Marcus started

"you know it's a luxury for people to be allowed to call me that now Father" she cut off mockingly.

"tell me" he says gently
"just tell me" Leoni looked at her father, he gestured to her leg then to the blood that mixed with the paint on her face
"i expect you have quite a few stories to tell me"

she explained her whole situation, you know the Haiplana Kom Natblida one!

"wow" Kane whispered in a tone that would've made Leoni wince if no one was watching. The subtle disappointment in his voice crushed her. She knew the person she had become was no exactly what her father expected to find but what she had accomplished was heroic...right? the path soon got narrow forcing everyone to move into a single file line Marcus Kane behind his daughter. if Leoni hadn't been so worked up perhaps she would have been more careful. more careful to remember her top was backless. more careful to remember her 56 scars were on display to her father
"Leoni..." Kane whispered in a tone that made him and everyone else stop. Leoni froze in place knowing what her father had seen. She didn't even dare to turn around to meet his eyes.
"Leoni what are these marks" Kane cleared his throat. Leoni closed her eyes as her father ran a delicate finger down them. Leoni put her hand behind her pushing his hand away and shaking her head as if to say be open minded

"scars" Leoni replied strongly as she began reinstating the warrior mindset that had been drilled into her long before her father had arrived

"scars in such a neat way, what do they mean, they must mean something Leo-"

"leave her be Kane. she's been through hell in the past 24 hours" Bellamy pushed past the man creating distance between the Father and daughter much to Leoni's relief
"let's keep moving" Bellamy placed a hand on the girls lower back and pushed Leoni forward lightly. this time instead of smacking away his hand like she had done with Miller she let the boy guide her, his touch was a comfort as Leoni opened her eyes, let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and kept walking. she pushed her hair back so it covered the scars. she continued limping
"Leoni would you let me carry you!" Bellamy asked worriedly in a low tone

"i'm fine" Leoni brushed off the comment

"don't listen to him. i think your scars make you strong" the boy whispered

"they do make me strong. remind me who i am. Haiplana kom natblida" Leoni answered bluntly not liking how quickly she was coming to trust the boy

"ok" Bellamy said, his confidence faltering slightly and Leoni could tell

"chof" Leoni looked back at the boy with a small smile

"what?" he asked confused

"that's how you say thank you in tridgedaslang which is the grounder language" Leoni turned back
"you asked earlier"

"yeah i did...chof" he nodded, smiling to himself
"you're pretty smart princess" he shoved her shoulder lightly

"just figuring that out now?" Leoni laughed

"i'm a bit slow" he laughed

"no. don't doubt yourself. you're a good leader and it shows. that is the greatest kind of wisdom and the only kind of smart you need to make it with my people. when you doubt yourself remember me because I would never doubt your judgment." Leoni said confidently. She found it hard to tell people how she felt but this seemed to work

"thanks" he whispered

"i should really get to Lexa! i don't even know if she's alive!" Leoni changed the subject

"she'll be fine" Bellamy assured

"i know. Tristan said we lost 300 people! and i fear that's just from the blast" Leoni explained her worry

"once we find Clarke and the others we'll get you back to your commander safe and sound unless I can convince you to stay?"

"we'll see" Leoni finished and at last the camp was in sight. it was eerily quiet as the group neared the ship.

"Here it is" Bellamy informed as the all gathered at the entrance

"ok, Abby and I will go in you three-"

"we're coming" Finn interrupted

"no-"

"this is our camp! We built it and lived in it!"

"you're not in charge anymore!" Kane snapped leaving the three teenagers in the care of guards. Bellamy and Finn looked at each other while Leoni sized up the guards

"such an innocent face" she tilted her head snd sighed
"sorry in advance"

"what-" the guard started before Leoni knocked both guards out with the butt of her blade.

"side entrance let's go" Finn started to run and Bellamy followed behind Leoni as the ran into the camp. they saw Kane carrying Murphy

"son of a bitch" Bellamy sneered before pouncing on the boy, they fought until Finn, Kane and another guard pulled the two apart. Leoni stood and watched the fight seeing as she didn't know what it was about and truth be told Leoni had seen more severe fights she didn't find this one very serious

"i hereby place you both under arrest" Kane snapped angrily as the guards pulled both Murphy and Bellamy's hands behind their backs

"Dad-" Leoni started

"You can't just-" Finn tried to intervene

"You are NOT in charge here! not anymore!" Kane growled as the guards led the boys in front.

"Dad!" Leoni snapped limping to his pace
"Bellamy-" she tried to explain why the boy should be left alone but her Dad wasn't having it

"no Leoni! i don't know what those scars are, i don't know what you were playing at with Abby back there and i especially don't know why you're defending a delinquent like Bellamy Blake but I won't have it! you'll keep your mouth shut or be arrested as well!" he snapped meeting her eye level. Leoni was taken aback by her fathers outburst. She was wrong! This was not the man she left back on the ark. Leaving had killed that man! At least he was fair.

"You-" she tried again

"Don't Leok. i'm ok" Bellamy assured with a definite sense of annoyance in his voice which made Leoni angry but she stopped at his request.
she followed the Ark team back to what was now apparently known as Camp Jaha.
