"I need to talk to you" Octavia muttered to Leoni and without question from the commander the two walked a small distance away so they were out of earshot "You need to know the gist of what went on down here" she started gravely but fiddled with Leoni's fingers nervously rather than her own "They call me Bloodreina."
"Red queen" Leoni nodded gesturing to the war paint which now made sense
"It's dark Leoni. A lot of people have died but they all hold complete loyalty to you. We made sure of that however I need you to stand by me here, stand by the choices I made. If you don't they loose faith in me and I fear that would mean the end of Wonkru. the main gist of what's going on here is the fighting pits. you commit a crime you fight for your second chance that's how we've managed to lower the population. then there's the dark year...when we had to...well we ran out of food...so we found another protein supply...and a solution to the dead body problem" Octavia explained awkwardly and Leoni nodded along the whole time. she completely understood the pressure being a leader put on a person and as for the dark year...maybe it was a good thing Leoni didn't make in into the bunker after all
"Do you regret any of your choices?" Leoni asked plainly
"No, every one I made was for us to survive." Octavia assured quickly, hoping Leoni wouldn't just cast her aside now that she was back
"Then I trust you" Leoni fixed a piece of Octavia's hair "Completely." She finished. She then pulled off her glove and slid out her dagger "We bind it in blood. Lead together." Leoni sliced her hand and held the dagger out to Octavia but instead of taking it she produced the one Leoni had gifted here all those years ago. Leoni's eyes landed on it making fond memories of the simpler times flash through her mind. She sliced her hand and the two shook intertwining their black and red blood and creating an oath they would stick to forever. Regardless of anyone else's thoughts.
"Ogeda" Octavia nodded, her darkeness was clear the only problem was that Leoni instantly started to mimic it. She may have made peace with herself and healed over the past 6 years but she was still the Natblida trained to kill. She was still Heda.
Leoni made sure Octavia was the first one out. After that she stayed behind helping everyone up and greeting them as they went. Some people cried in joy, others bowed in instant loyalty, and a few even flung themselves into her arms out of pure excitement. Bellamy watched her from above the bunker with a loving smile. It was always a beautiful thing to see that girl with her people! When Leoni laid eyes on Miller she instantly broke into a wide grin

"says you" she laughed and he pulled her into a hug. he kissed her cheek before pulling her close and Leoni just held him. she knew that on the other side of that bunker she had to start being whatever Bloodreina had been so now was the only time for emotion. "you have no idea how much i missed you" he whispered and Leoni heard the painful relief in his voice. it had been bad down here. real bad. Leoni pulled away and started to attach him to the harness
