The next day Leoni was left in charge of her warriors. She had them in rows in front of her as she paced in front of them with her hands behind her back and a stern look across her face. Her long blonde hair was flowing freely over her shoulders and back in attempts to hide her scars and avoid further confrontation with her Dad. the young warrior had decided to throw herself into her duties to distract from the gnawing disaster going on in her stomach others would call, missing Bellamy Blake and regretting all of her life decisions leading up to totally utterly and completely falling for the boy
"YOU ARE WARRIORS" Leoni shouted aggressively. "STRIKE" she commanded and the warriors thrusted their spears towards the front with a cry "YOU BATTLE WITHOUT MERCY" the sky people had gathered at a distance watching carefully as the warriors trained "STRIKE" the grounders sent a punch to the right with another battle cry "WHEN MOUNT WEATHER ATTACKS WE ATTACK HARDER" Kane watched his daughter not knowing wether to be proud or petrified "STRIKE" the grounders sent another punch to the left this time "WE ATTACK STRONGER" the sky people began murmuring amongst themselves "STRIKE" a kick to the front was taken out by every single one of the warriors while the sky people's whispers started to reach Leoni's ears "WE ATTACK BETTER" Leoni began to be thrown off "STRIKE"
"kinda funny isn't it" a kid giggled. If Leoni hadn't been so worked up she probably wouldn't have reacted but she was so...she did
"i'm sorry do you have a problem?" Leoni asked offended as she turned to face the crowd. she held up a hand to stop the training grounders and then signalled for them to gather behind her
"no- it's just..."
"just what?" Leoni asked threateningly "would you like a shot?"
"Leoni-" Kane started
"GANBY!" the girl called and a tall bulky man came to her side "get ready to fight" she ordered "what's your name kid?"
"em-well-"
"ok 'em-well' get ready to be a grounder" Leoni glared at the boy who was shaken to his very core "if you think it's so funny have a go yourself" Leoni sneered as the grounders gathered in a circle with Ganby taking stance in the middle "go on!" Leoni dropped a spear at the boys feet "we'll even make it a fair fight shall we?" Leoni tilted her head in question
"Leoni that's enough!" Kane told the girl sternly
"i believe she's just getting started Kane" Murphy mocked from behind the man, his arms crossed and a smug smile painted on his face
"oh no i'm finished" Leoni smiled sarcastically "it's Ganby's turn now" Leoni mocked gesturing to the ready Ganby!
"i don't-" the boy started
"no seriously! go on! Ganby is one of the best warriors we have! if you think our training is funny you'll find this hilarious!" no one said a word as the boy shakily picked up the spear and made his way towards the grounder. impressed and slightly surprised Leoni joined the crowd watching as the weak sky loser prepared to face off the assassin that was Ganby.
