For years she'd only ever been his personal assistant. She did everything for him ; organised his meals , his emails , his events and basically his whole schedule. He'd never paid much attention to her , not the attention that she had always craved anyways .
For she had been infatuated with the brunette boy since her first day on the job , and when he suddenly started showing interest in her life she had never stopped to question his rash change of mind . But she should have done .
They had been joint at the hip for months now , they were each other's every waking thought . Mason had asked her to dinner one cold night in March and since then , the two were inseparable. It only took three months before they were living together. They were the type of couple that people saw and were almost sickened at the sheer idea that two people could ever be that happy in one another's company . They giggled when the other hadn't even made a joke . They smiled at any mention of each others names . They were so in love .
They had agreed that she should stay on as his assistant for the rest of the season , it was natural to them . They were able to be around each other a lot and it meant that it was even easier to organise masons schedule in a way that suited him .
But now she wished that was not the case . Because if she hadn't continued to be his PA ; she would never have made the revelation that crushed her . As embarrassing as it might be , she would give anything to be the ignorant girl she once was .
Mason's phone had been going off all morning , and whilst he was busy at training , she was working to respond to the many emails that would flood in every other second. Mason has never been secretive , so she saw nothing wrong with going over to put the phone on silent . oh how she wishes she hadn't .

me and the boys were on a night out with the rest of the team and staff to celebrate England's first game of the year . That meant y/n was there .
The boys had been banging on about her all night , calling her fit and basically egging me on to make a move on her . I didn't see her like that though , I mean it was only y/n .
" mate seriously , if you don't get with her one of us will ." Jesse said after a few rounds of drinks .
"Innit she's leng" jack agreed .
" lad you literally have a girl ." I rolled my eyes at him before continuing ,
" plus , It would just be weird . I mean she works for me . And she's not leng ... average at most." I say , slightly twisting the truth . I knew she was a gorgeous girl , but I could never be with her .
