"Do you wake up as I do, having forgotten what it is that hurts or where, until you move? There is a second of consciousness that is clean again. A second that is you, without memory or experience, the animal warm and waking into a brand new world. There is the sun dissolving the dark, and light as clear as music, filling the room where you sleep and the other rooms behind your eyes."

Jeanette Winterson

Although Janneth's eyelids opened, Dr

Although Janneth's eyelids opened, Dr. Everett sensed that she wasn't the same person that he talked to moments ago. The pupils of her eyes rolled upwards, so he was able to see only the white portion of the iris.

It freaked him out as if he had just witnessed an exorcist episode and wanted to run out of the office to report this incident. But when he tried to stand up, his knees gave in, as it appeared that a physical force restrained him from moving. The confused doctor did what he could to break out of the restraints, but the invisible force was strong enough to keep him from fidgeting. Whatever it was, it wanted him to sit still and enjoy the show.

Then out of the blue, a screechy whisper spoke. One that sounded like the scratchy noise of a static television set that just went haywire.

Not by the hair of my chinny, chin Doctor will you leave her!

Nolan wondered where that noise came from, moreover, who said it.  He knew Janneth was not responding to him, so he wondered if it was a voice he just imagined or if it was one from beyond the grave.

Could it be that doll's spirit? Was there such a thing as a figurine coming alive? Nolan felt a lump go down his throat as he swallowed. It was hard for him to digest all these questions that occurred in his mind for they were getting the best out of him.

Dr. Everett just met his new patient a while ago and now he was afraid of her. Was that even justifiable for a psychologist to be scared of his own client?

After a minute had gone by, the supernatural event that took place a while ago, stopped as if time prevented it from continuing.

Quickly, he walked over to help his patient who laid on the floor. As he approached her, the doctor was shocked at what he discovered. Janneth's eyes were red ... red as if her eyes were strained from tiredness. The color disappeared as quickly as the doctor turned his head, thus, Nolan thought he himself was starting to become delusional.

Nolan snapped his fingers to wake his patient up from her reverie. He took his middle finger and rubbed it with his thumb to make a snapping sound and the noise immediately awoke the fallen woman.

"Welcome back Ms. Hudson. I think we have to continue this session about your mother and Prue next time. It appears that you are not stable enough."

Janneth looked up and saw that the doctor was smiling at her.

Baffled at what had just happened, she touched her face as if she was another person.

He agreed with Ms. Hudson's social worker that Janneth wasn't a lunatic, but this was crazy and he had enough.  Nolan believed that it was possible that she was creating all this 'hocus pocus' herself. But he still had his doubts.

As he supported Janneth back to her seat, Nolan was weary on even continuing this case for he could not focus onward with this fiasco.
This was too much for him to handle as he did not believe in the paranormal factor.

He wanted to believe that if someone had hypnotized Janneth to do such an act, that idea was just preposterous.

After all, something in her past childhood experiences must have caused her to come with these nonsensical accusations. He believed that it was an event that didn't involve her mother. But if that was the case, it was odd that it involved an innocent doll.

Of all the toys in the world, why was a creepy doll to be blamed?

Nolan wanted to have another colleague take over for him if this crazy scenario happened again, but he felt a strong pull urging him to try again; as if Piper wanted to test out Dr. Everett, and he was the only one she wanted to annoy.
