He Han’s lips curved up and a tinge of mirth could be seen in his eyes.

After Ye Fan was done tidying up the things on the dressing table, she looked up again.

He Han was gone.

The way out was empty when Ye Fan stepped out of the dressing room.

In the autumn night, the evening breeze was slightly cool.

During the day, many crews came and went, there was no telling how many shows would be shot in the same set.

It was currently nighttime. Ye Fan’s work ended very late. All the rest of the crew had almost packed up and left.

The studio was quiet after work was over.

Her car waited for her not far away, but before she headed over, she noticed a silhouette.

He Han was leaning against the wall, his face half-hidden under the streetlights.

He was looking over in Ye Fan’s direction, as if he was waiting for her.

Ye Fan was stunned.

She recalled all those coincidences earlier, and also the director’s impromptu addition to their shoot tonight, and she felt that something was off.

If that scene was added deliberately by He Han, then it was necessary for her to keep her distance from him.

After Dudu grows up a bit more, there are many things she won’t be able to hide anymore.

Ye Fan’s goal was simple. She just wanted to do her part in acting and raise Dudu up.

Other than acting and work, she had no wishes to involve herself with He Han in any way.

Seeing her stop in place for a moment, He Han’s cool voice rang out.

He called out her name. Two simple words poured from his lips, but they sounded so pleasant.

“Ye Fan.”

Ye Fan could not help but head towards him.

She stopped in front of him.

The lights at the studio had already gone out. Only the streetlights in the distance were still on.

The two of them had a clear look at each other’s faces, yet they couldn’t tell what the other was thinking.

“Heading home?” He Han’s voice was calm, as if he was just chatting idly with her.

Ye Fan nodded. “Yeah. And you?”

“I’ll head back in a bit.” He Han leaned over slightly. “Your acting was great today. Good progress.”

Ye Fan and He Han looked at each other. Her eyes were clear and whilst his were deep.

The two of them coincidentally thought of their scene from today.

Ye Fan’s cool voice was clear. She didn’t beat around the bush. “Did you add that scene today on purpose?”

Whatever thoughts He Han had, she hoped to stop them.
