At around nine o'clock, Emma and Noah are already back and the family has put the youngest to bed, a few adults going, as well while everyone else decides to have a bonfire.

Emma and Noah have changed into comfier clothes and take the two person camping chair. As if they're really together, she has her legs over his lap as he holds them close with one arm over her shoulders.

"Hey, Emma."

"Hey, Jack."

"What the heck made you choose that thing?"

"You mean Noah?"

"That's what I said."

The group laugh while Noah just rolls his eyes.

"You don't have to feed into his shenanigans."

"Yeah, I don't think I will."

"Aw, we wanna know." Chloe states.

"Next question."

"Boooo!" Half the crowd sings.

"I'm sorry, it's just making me nervous." She chuckles.

"How about this?" Jack starts. "What caught your eye first?"

"Funny."

"And last?"

"His face."

"She thought you were ugly." Blake laughs.

"I did not. I just wasn't looking at the time. More listening."

"And you, Noah?" Jack asks.

"Smarts, first. Then, personality. Then, face."

"Smarts?" Lily asks.

"She was the tutor." He states shyly.

"What?!" The same people from before ask.

"I was the tutor." She nods.

"Dating the tutor." Jack smirks.

"And the student of the year." Noah points to Emma.

"Wow." Chloe says.

"How'd you manage that?" Uncle Steve asks.

"Teachers love me."

"That'll do it."

"So, you're the reason his grade went from shit to alright?" Dan asks.

"I think they're better than alright." Emma nods.

Noah starts to rub up and down her arm to calm her down, having seen what happens when she's mad.

"They are." Lily agrees.

"What were they?" Mia asks.

"A few D's and C's." Noah answers. "Now, A's and B's."

"You're welcome." Emma teases, making his grimace turn to a smile.

"Oh, my." Ella sighs.

"She doesn't just do your work for you, right?" Dan asks.

"No." She answers. "I explain and he solves with my help. He does most of the work."

"Why don't we move onto a different topic?" Noah suggests quickly.

"Right." Jack agrees, now seeing what's happening.

-

"I'm about to fall asleep." Emma tells Noah.

"You wanna go to bed?" He asks softly.

"Not if you don't want to."

"No, I do."

"You just saying that?"

"No." He chuckles. "I'm pretty tired, too. Come on. Bed time."

She laughs as he pulls her out of the chair.

"Where are you guys going?" Jack smirks.

"Going to visit the sandman." Emma smiles.

"The guys would've loved to hear that for some reason." Noah chuckles.

"They're special."

"Oh, yeah."

Mia, the owner of this mansion, tells them which room to go to and they say goodnight before walking off, hand in hand.

"What a cutie she is." Lily smiles.

"Chloe has a crush on her." Jack states quickly.

"I do no- Yeah, I do."

"Of course, you do." Dan sighs.

"I can't help it. Not my fault she's pretty."

-

Noah and Emma get to the room and stand nervously when they see one mother fucking bed.

"Welp." Emma breathes.

"Umm?"

"We'll be fine." She waves off.

"Really? You're okay with this?"

"Yeah, it's all good."

"Okay." Noah chuckles. "That's what I was worried about."

"No need. It's okay."

He nods and walks into the bathroom closing the door behind him. Emma lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding as her eyes go wide.

"Holy. Shit."

She smiles slightly and goes to the other side of the bed, laying on top of the covers. Noah comes back out and smiles when he sees her fighting to keep her eyes open.

"Em."

"Hmm?"

"Close your eyes and go to sleep."

"Mmm."

"Yes."

He climbs into bed beside her and closes her eye for her. She smiles and turns to her side, facing him with her knees up and her hands under her pillow.

Noah turns off the lamp, small light shining in through the thin curtains, illuminating her features. Her breathing evens out as she drifts off to sleep.

He smiles at her and inches closer while he stares longingly at her beautiful and still face. He brings his hand to her cheek and places a kiss on her forehead before turning to his stomach and closing his eyes, as well.
