Some time after lunch, all the adults are out in the backyard while the cousins and Emma are in the kitchen.

She's sitting on the counter with Noah standing between her legs, back against her front with her arms around his neck. His elbows are on the counter, holding her thighs against his sides.

No one would think it was fake for a second and that's not even the reason they're being all touchy. They just wanna touch.

"I miss the guys." Emma states. "They're stupid."

"That's why you miss them?" Noah chuckles.

"Eh."

He pats her arm, making her smile and hold a little tighter as she lays her chin right beside his head.

Noahs phone buzzes and he gets it out, laughing when he sees who it is.

"Speak of the dumbasses."

"No way. I can see the future."

He holds the phone to where they can both read it.

"This is why I miss them." Emma laughs.

"What are you guys doing?" Jack asks.

"Talking to our friends." Noah answers.

"They were his, but I stole 'em."

"Yeah." He scoffs. "They're always on her side, now."

"As they should." Chloe states.

Noah and Emma are laying on their bed, supposed to be going to sleep, but haven't even closed their eyes.

"Well." Emma starts.

"Hmm?"

"Reunion is over tomorrow."

"Mhmm."

"And the fake dating? Does that mean it's over?"

Noah takes a deep breath and looks over at her. In the dark, she looks nonchalant, but really she's horribly worried. Understanding that it was all fake, but wondering what will happen to their friendship.

"Does it?" He asks.

"I guess so." Emma sighs. "What does that make us?"

"Friends, I hope. Don't wanna lose you just because that's over."

"You won't ever lose me, if I have anything to say about it."

"Then, you have everything to say about it."

"You won't ever lose me."
