Vineet and Ruhana have a conversation about the fest. She insists he takes part in the fest. He denies the fact and asksher to concentrate on their examinations which are heading close. Ruhana lets him leave and hopes that he takes part in the fest after their exams. She gets lost in the past remembering the worst memory of her life that’s related to Vineet’s dad. She pens a diary entry and Vineet’s voice helps her come out of her trance.
A smile makes way on Ruhana’s face and she rushes to Vineet’s room and finds him busy on his laptop. She also finds two coffee mugs on the side table. She looks at him.
“Hey! What happened? And why do you need two cups of coffee.” Ruhana asks raising her eyebrows at him.
“One’s for you, Ruhana. Sorry, I had a call so I called you here. Maa made for you too obviously,” Vineet smirks at Ruhana.
“Hey! She has to make it for both of us. She has to take care of both of us.” Ruhana makes a face causing Vineet to laugh.
“Yes! And you’re a kid!” He says teasingly.
“Yeah, and you’re the silent kid because mom says we are still kids for her. If she could manage, she’d have not let us grow.” Ruhana says softly at which they stared at each other for a moment but then broke into laughter.
They sit and enjoy their coffee together. Ruhana is actually staring at Vineet who’s working on the laptop. He’s a serene sight to her eyes and his voice is music to her ears. She can stare at him all day, leaving anything that comes her way but not Vineet. All she wants to do is to be by his side and help him come out of his shell and live his life to the fullest. That’s the only thing she wants from her life now.
Soonish, they call it a night and Ruhana runs to her room. She latches the door and lies on the bed finishing her work. She’s glad to have spent some time with him. There’s a smile on her lips and she knows that he may change his mind and do what she wants but she has to keep bucking him up. She has to cooperate and assure him that things will be fine soon. She has to take the leap as she knows that he won’t do it.
Amidst all the thoughts, she falls asleep. She hopes that the new day would be surprising and things would eventually fall into their place.

The next morning seems to be a chaotic one. Ruhana and Vineet get ready for college. It’s the day of submission of their projects. Vineet is doing some last moment work on the project while Ruhana is checking her report. Their mom looks at them chiding them for not finishing the work last night. Both of them smile at her, they know she will say so, but she also knows that some things are left to be checked at the moment. They’re engrossed in their work when the lady calls them.
“Come on, have some breakfast and do not panic. It will be all good.” She says about the projects.
“I hope so, Ma. I am almost done. But I dunno, why the model is so problematic?” Vineet makes a face.
“It will be fine, Son. Come on, have breakfast.” She calls him smearing his head.
“Yeah! That’s what I told him last night. But he doesn’t listen to me.” Ruhana makes a face.
“You don’t listen to me too.” Vineet rolls his eyes at her.
“Hey, I do. You don't listen.. You always do things as they please you." Ruhana says teasingly.
Before Vineet could reply, Ruhana's mother barges in the conversation stopping them and asks them to have breakfast. She looks at them and pretends to scold them as well.
" What's this with you two? You two tease each other and then you can't live without each other. I mean, you two can't do without each other. Why so? What's the use then??" she says.
" That's the friendship, the love that we share. But your silent boy doesn't understand anything. He loves to love his silence." Ruhana says while looking at Vineet and her mother.
" Ah! I am trying." He makes a face.
" It's time to act, my son. Not to try. It's been many years already. " her mum says while looking at both her kids.
Vineet sighs, he knows it. He knows he needs to crack the shell that he's in, but it's hard. Of course, everything is hard but you need to try and act. Ruhana's mom adds something more to which Vineet couldn't say anything but ends up embracing the lady in his arms.
