Falling For You

~Chapter #3~

Ruhana is in her room, she's angry. Not really , though. She knows he teases her in front of her parents. And she mocked anger on him. She isn't serious. Atleast, he has a smile on his face when he teases her. That's enough for her. She hears his footsteps approaching toward her. She maintains anger on her face.

"Roo…" he calls her nickname.

Well, that's just reserved for him. Her nickname in his deep, crisp and perfect voice sounds like music to her ears . She is amused at how affectionately he calls her name. She's just his best friend, and yeah this is a certain kind of love, she supposes. Her mother tells her that every relationship has a different meaning of love. Love isn't something that two lovers share, it prevails within every relationship. She smiles internally when he again called her name, her full name now.

"Ruhana!! Listen to me." He says standing behind her.

"I don't want to talk to you." She says folding her arms across her chest.

"I was kidding!" He says holding her by her shoulders.

"but I'm not kidding. Go! Leave my room." She says sternly while turning towards him.

Vineet looks at her in shock . She's really angry. And it's going to be hard for him to convince this pretty girl. She's adamant enough. He can bear everything,not her anger and silence. Though,he gives her only silence.

" Ruu, please. You know, I cannot bear your silence." He says.

"and what do you give me everyday? Your silence?! Am I here to understand your silence only?" She shouts losing her cool.

Vineet is shocked. A small teasing led to her anger. He tries holding her hand but she jerks him.

" Stay away!! Until you promise me that you will leave this silence, don't talk to me." She says sternly.

" Ruu! Listen! We can talk!" He says trying to calm her.

"I also came to talk. And what did you say? I roam behind you. I don't do that for my good, Vineet. It's for your good. It's for you ,so that you don't feel lonely. It's because you don't feel apart from us. But no, you have to stay alone. Then, stay with yourself. I won't come behind you. I won't coax you anymore." She shouts at him.

Her eyes are teary by now. She wasn't angry, but when he mentioned about  silence, she lost her cool. She always tries to make him happy. She knew he has been through a rough childhood, but she wanted him back. Her best friend. Is it too much to ask for?

Vineet and Ruhana grew up together . Though Vineet grew up to be a silent guy, his care for Ruhana never changed. He always takes care of her and make sure that she is fine. She also does the same. The only difference is that she wants her best friend back. She wants him to laugh , to talk to her ,take her out on strolls and to have ice-cream, like he did in their childhood. It's not that, she can't go alone. But she loves to live these moments with him. She can't blame him, but it's his Life. He can come out of the bad phase and start afresh. Ruhana, her parents love him. He's not alone in the world.

Vineet reaches to hold her hand again, mustering courage to speak . He looks at her innocently.She glares at him.

"Not today ,Vineet. I've been too easy for you. I always melt because I cannot see you sad. I always forgive you , for all the scolds you give me. But not today. When you can't take in my silence, why do you serve the same to me everyday?  I also cannot take up your silence. But I do. I give you time to heal up, because mum says that time will heal everything,but now, now I feel , you don't want to heal yourself. So, I give up! Do whatever you want to. You're free." She shouts at him venting all her anger and leaves the room. 

He stands still processing her words, as tear drops escape his eyes. He has hurt her, and he has to make up for the same. But how! He has to figure out,but for now ,it's best to know her whereabouts. He knows it,maybe?!
