Vineet and Ruhana have a trifle. There’s a fest organized in the college and when Ruhana asks him to take part in the fest, Vineet denies it. She is upset that Vineet never listens to her. Later in the evening, Ruhana gets a call from her friend upsetting her more. Ruhana shouts at the caller.
“Please!! Don’t say this, okay? I’ll manage it. It’s none of your business.” Ruhana shouts at the caller.
“That’s my business, Ms Verma. I will see to it. Thanks for the information.” Ruhana says on the phone and cuts the call.
Throwing her phone on the couch she glances at Vineet who is looking at her only. He asks about the matter but Ruhana makes a face. She is upset that he has disagreed with her proposal of taking a part in the annual fest. Upon Vineet's insistence, Ruhana shouts at him.
“Don’t show this face, Vineet. I know you won’t agree with me, you’d say that you’re not interested. You have other duties to do but you won’t do anything on my insistence.” Ruhana says firmly.
“Ruu, you know….” He begins to say but she cuts him.
“I know everything, Vineet. You don’t want to understand. You promised me that you’ll be the guy I want you to be. You arranged a meeting with RD, you cared for me, and now, when I want you to pursue your passion, you’re denying me.” She says, she’s angry at her best friend.
“Can’t you do it? You play the guitar so well. But you don’t want to show your talent. Why? Give me a proper reason.” Ruhana asks firmly.
Vineet doesn’t have an answer to her questions. She won’t be satisfied until he will give a proper answer. While he doesn’t want to accept that he is trailing behind in his life. He is willing to be the man she wants him to be. But then he doesn’t want to do anything. He isn’t taking a step forward. Casting one last look at Vineet, Ruhana leaves the house angrily.

Vineet sighs deeply. He has a talk with Ruhana’s mom who says that he should listen to his heart. He moves out of the house and finds Ruhana sitting gloomily on the swing. He gives a push to the swing and she comes back to reality. She glances at him but chooses to be silent. She knows that he won’t listen to her. Vineet sits beside her and looks at her.
"What happened to you? I am not used to your silence, you know!" he says to cheer her up.
"Yeah yeah, silence is your love. How come that you are not used to it.?" She says sarcastically.
“Yeah, It is my choice, but not yours. Why are you upset?” Vineet asks.
"Choices change Vineet. And you must change your choices. When you can’t do things for others, then why it is hurting you that I am silent?” She asks him.
He doesn’t have any answer. He stands up but she catches his wrist and looks into his eyes.
“Ruhana, i can’t do it.” he says softly. .
For him, it is hard to change his nature. All these years, he has grown up to be silent, and he can't afford to trust every other person that comes in his way. She looks at him.
"I didn't ask you to do anything Vineet. It is a matter of fact that everything is not in the way that you see it. I agree, it was not easy for you, but now it has been 15 years. Can't you change your thoughts?" she asks looking in his eyes while he downs his gaze.
"You're running from yourself Vineet. Please don't do that. You know that it is not possible, then why do you do that? It may be difficult but it is not impossible. We will make it possible. I am with you always, and you know that. " she says taking his hand in hers.
He’s listening to her silently. Somewhere in his heart, he knows that what she is saying is correct, but he doesn’t want to believe any of it. she looks up at him on not getting any reply.
"You know what, These days I get to hear that you live in the past, and it's true Vineet. Certainly, we can't forget what happened, but we can atleast begin a new chapter. I don't like it if someone says anything against you. You're capable of doing anything you wish. People want you to take part in the fest.” Ruhana says emotionally.
“That guitar competition! Why don’t you take part when you can? You play so well. Ma would be happy seeing you do what you love. Please do that Vineet. Don't live inside a shell. The world is beautiful. Let's see it Vineet, please! " she says pleading to him.
He glances at her. He knew she is hurt. Maybe someone from her friends may have said anything against him and this girl always longed to be with him. She couldn't bear anything against him. Adding to it, he denied taking part in the fest and she wanted him to be back in his original self.
He agrees to her, again promises her to be the person she wants him to be. She can’t believe her ears as he promises her friend. He assures her while she smiles a little. She holds his hand and asks him to keep his promise. He agrees and they walk home, hand in hand. As they reach home, they find that her dad is home. Ruhana rushes to meet her dad. She hugs him and Vineet smiles at them. He misses his family but this is also his family. He finds Ruhana’s father calling him as he engulfs him in a hug with a fatherly pat on his back. He’s glad to have them as their family. He’s blessed for sure.

Later, the family of four, have dinner and Vineet moves on the terrace and Ruhana rushes to her dad. She hugs him and spends some time with her parents. As she moves out of her parents’ room, she hears Vineet playing an emotional tune. She knows, he plays the tune when he is upset.
She keeps her hand on his shoulder and he hugs her in a friction of seconds. She pats his back smearing his head.
"Calm down, Vineet. " she says.
"I miss her Ruhana!! I miss mom, if she would've been here, I won't be what I am!" he says dejectedly.
She parts the hug and cups her face.
"Vineet, Mom is there, up in the sky, She's always looking at you. I know you miss her, even I miss her. But can't we be happy for her?? Vineet, I know what you were and what you are...but I want my best friend back. will I get him?" She asks.
He turns towards the sky. She stands beside him and points toward the brightest star.
"Look, there are the people we love. Mom must be looking at us and want us to be happy..isn't it?" she says.
He agrees, nodding his head, but not leaving his grip on her.
"Vineet, I know what life gave you was a big shock and it still hurts, but we can't forget living, we have to live up and make our own identity, I know we can!" she says.
He looks in her eyes which seemed more confident than he is about himself. He holds her hand and entangles his fingers with hers assuring her that he'll try his best. She smiles and rests her head on his shoulder.
