Vineet is surprised to see Ruhana in so much anger. She’s always been calm, even when he’s been on her nerves. There are times when she’s been mad at him but not like she is at the moment. She leaves the auditorium in anger and rushes to her room. Vineet stands stupified at the moment when Rohan's voice brings him out of his trance.
"Didn't you hear her, Vineet? She's more concerned about you than herself." Rohan says softly.
"Ah! She's concerned for no reason." Vineet wavers his words.
"No, she's fighting for your self-respect. She's arguing for you, Vineet. No one does it for anyone else. She's not as selfish as Rhea is. Try to understand, she can't take any bad words for you, and she's waiting for you to be the way you were." Rohan tries to convince him.
" He's right, Vineet. Ruhana answered back to Rhea when she spoke badly about you. There are ample feelings that she's hiding in her little heart. But she doesn't say it, because you mean a great deal to her. She doesn't want to lose you and so she keeps mum. " Priyanka says as she looks into Vineet's eyes.
" Yeah! I think you must go and have a word with her. She's hurt and she'll only talk to you."Shubhi says meaningfully.
Vineet nods his head thoughtfully and runs out of the auditorium but doesn't find Ruhana around. He runs to her room and knocks on the door.
" Ruhana, open the door. "He calls her.
"Vineet, just leave me alone." Ruhana shouts.
"Please relax, Ruhana. Rhea is nowhere around. You don't need to stress yourself for her." he says persuading her to open the door.
"Vineet, please. What she said may not offend you, but it did to me. She’s no good and she doesn’t do any good in the fest. She’s no one to judge me, you or any of us. Just leave me alone. I don’t want to talk to you.” Ruhana shouts and asks him to leave.
Vineet sighs deeply but understands that Ruhana is in deep agony. She can’t take the wrongs happening anywhere around her. She answered back when Rhea said bad words for Vineet and having someone saying awful about her best friend, Ruhana feels as if someone is piercing her heart. He lets it go and decides to talk to her when she calms down once. It may be easier then.

The evening passes in a blur. It’s night and thankfully Ruhana comes into the restaurant for dinner. Shubhi and Priyanka rush towards her and ask her if she’s fine. She agrees and silently acknowledges the concerns of her friends. She serves dinner for herself and occupies a table. Priyanka and Shubhi join her at the table. As they settle down, Priyanka again asks Ruhana if she’s fine to which she smiles.
“I’m fine! You know what? I can’t tolerate Rhea! And yeah, sorry for all the nuances I created, but I was in a bad mood.” Ruhana apologises to her friends.
“We understand, Ruu. We want you to be fine. We can discuss the script post-dinner.” Priyanka suggests.
“Yeah, we can. At least that bitch won’t be there.” Ruhana makes a face, she’s still upset with the evening incident.
“Relax, Ruhana. She’s nowhere around. She won’t be here after what you did with her today. Calm down.” Shubhi bucks her up.
“Yeah, I don’t wish to see her anytime soon. Well, let’s get going. I am done!” Ruhana says and gets up from her seat.
She asks her friends to meet her in the room and moves out only to dash into Vineet. They share a glance and he holds her hands.
“Are you okay?” Vineet asks softly.
“Yeah! And sorry for being harsh with you. I didn’t mean it but I was upset and shouted at you.” Ruhana says.
“It’s okay, Ruhana. I get it. And I also got the gist of it. I only want you to be fine. Girls like Rhea deserve what they got from you.” Vineet smiles at her.
“Really? I wish you could understand all the emotions a little deeply, Vineet. But, I am glad that you understood what I felt at that time.” Ruhana smiles at her best friend.
Vineet looks at her and nods, he knows what she’s talking about. He needs to understand the minute details of life, the emotions that everyone feels. He neglects them for himself. For all the pain that he undergoes, he neglects others. No, she’s not complaining. He’s trying and she knows it. She only wishes he had known how she feels for him. That’s been her dream for a long time. They part ways and Ruhana makes her way to her room with Priyanka and Shubhi.

They enter the room and Shubhi locks the door. The three of them plop down on the bed, hiding beneath the duvets. They read the script and made all the changes. And then they lie down on the bed. It’s a bit cool on the outskirts of the city.
“Ruhana, why don’t you tell about your feelings to Vineet?” Shubhi asks softly.
“But I don't even know about his feelings. “ She replies sadly.
“What if he feels the same for you?” Priyanka asks while looking at her.
“What if he doesn't? “ Ruhana cross-questioned her.
“We're best friends, I know. But I don't know what he feels about me. I agree that he cares about me. He takes care of me, he’s always there when I need a friend. Yeah, he’s become harsh and sometimes he becomes hard to understand, but I don’t know if he loves me or even if he holds any kind of these feelings for me. “ Ruhana says as she looks at her besties.
“Just go and tell him. Or at least ask him for the prom night. You two can talk then. “ Shubhi suggests, reminding her about the prom night.
“But, will he agree?” Ruhana asks.
“He will, just talk to him, no.” Priyanka chides her and Ruhana agrees.
They discuss a little more and then drift into sleep. They need a lot to do the next day.
On the other hand, Vineet is in the garden of the resort when Rohan shows up near him asking about his well-being.
“Dude, are you okay? I mean, I know you like Ruhana, but what made you take part in the contest? As far as I know, no one can make you change your decision. Then what now? “ he asked.
Vineet just smiled and threw the ball into the basket and sat on the bench.
“Yeah, I decided to take part because it’d keep her happy and our parents too.” Vineet smiles softly.
“She's no more your best friend Vineet. She's more than that. Believe me! “ Rohan says with a smile.
“it's nothing like what you're thinking Rohan. You know, I don't believe in Love.” Vineet says in order to deny the fact that he doesn’t believe in love and it’s not love that he feels for Ruhana.
“You're fooling yourself Vineet. I mean agreeing to something, getting worried for her, caring and then scolding her, is not what is done for friends. She’s worried for you, she can’t bear bad words for you, she can fight with anyone for you, Vineet. It’s a whole lot of difference that she feels for you.
Rohan pats his shoulders and move inside the resort. Vineet is lost in thoughts. Yes, Ruhana is different. He has recently been doing things that please his sunshine girl. She’s always been there when he needs him, like, right now, as well. He remembers her words from earlier.
Yes, he needs to learn everything that makes her happy. Vineet has to act precisely and be the man she wants him to be. He sits on the bench and remembers all that happened between them. She’s his solace and he’s hers. She’s at peace when she’s with him and even he feels at peace when they are together. Every time when he cried, remembered his mother, she has been his pillow to cry on. She’s been there convincing him, is it just what a friend does?
In Mumbai, he did find time to stand in silence with her. When she got lost, he was the most panicked person. And when she was found, he was relaxed. He did agree to her, and only for her.
He just sits still analyzing his deeds and actions towards her and calls it a night soon.
