Falling For You

~Chapter #17~

Ruhana is quite excited for the Mumbai trip. Vineet has promised her to be in his own self while they are on the trip. It is not easy but Vineet is trying it. Ruhana knows it, yet she wants to push him more. He is still introvert and doesn't share his feelings like she does. She wants him to speak out his feelings. Well, it won't change the scene for Ruhana, for she understands his silence as well. Even if he doesn't speak anything, she knows what he wants or what he feels. Momentarily, Ruhaana felt angry as she saw Rhea looking at Vineet. Oh! She can't bear that. This girl surely needs a lesson. She didn't remember the fight from the other day. Such thoughts are bubbling in her mind, when her eyes meet his.

Vineet has boarded the same bus as Ruhana did. Their eyes meet for a few minutes and he asks about her well-being. After all, she is his responsibility. Or, it would be precise to say that he can't live without her. She has been his light and how can he face the light of the world without this girl. Ruhana smiles to herself as he assures her that he is there and she should not worry. Yeah, her friends are right. She really likes him. Seeing him smile, her lips curve into a smile as well. The way he takes care of her, his way of making her smile and his way to hide his pain and smile at her is what she loves the most about him. He would do anything to make sure that she is safe and sound.

Suddenly, Ruhana realizes the way she raged when her friends tell her about Rhea. She doesn't know why she felt so strange and angered when she found Rhea looking at Vineet. She wanted to smack her so bad on her face that she's not able to look at him. Her trance is broken by Vineet's voice, who is sitting beside her by now.

"What happened to you Ruhana?" he asks out of concern as he finds her lost at the moment.

Ruhana glances at him briefly. The concern on his face, the care in hsi eyes is what she melts for. Oh! How cute he looks when he calls her name and asks about her. His voice is melodious to her. He's looking at her, waiting for his answer. He won't get satisfied until and unless he'll get a satisfying answer from her. He nudges her again making her look at him.

"Where are you lost, Miss Ruhana?" He pats lightly on her cheeks and she looks at him with a smile on her lips.

"Nothing wrong, Vineet! Are you okay?" She counter questions him.

She is highly concerned for him. He can see all the love and care in his eyes. A while ago, he was running from one place to another as he had some official duties given by his professors. Now, he remembers Ruhana. Her parents were not allowing her to go on the trip. Though she is not a little girl, she is more mature than he thinks for himself. But, her parents still think of her as a kid. They also believed that she won't be able to handle herself. It is so true. She always ends up doing something childish. And Vineet has always been there to hold her up again.

She comes out of her trance, when he lightly slaps on her head, and she glares at him. He giggles seeing her reaction.

"What are you doing? You'll spoil my hair. I don't want a bad hair day...got that?" she says angrily.

He smiles a little at her irritation. It's their usual banter. He teases her and she whmines, and on the other hand, when he's sad, she is the one to take care of him.

"Then be in your senses Miss Ruhana. Don't act so absent-mindedly." he warns her.

She nods affirmatively at him. He smiles and moves towards the driver's cabin and settles down on the front seat. He sighs deeply as the morning hour was hectic for him. He relaxes on the seat as he knows that everything is under hsi control. Ruhana's trance is broken when Priyanka nudges her. She begins to tease Ruhana while the latter makes a face.

"Ruhana, where are you lost? We know you like him, but at least don't stare at him like that." Priyanka says teasingly at which Ruhana glares at her.

"Hey!! I know what you are thinking. Now, don't stare at me open-mouthed. Have some chocolate cake." Priyanka says teasingly and forwards a piece of cake towards Ruhana.

She is savoring the cake when Vineet announces that they will be reaching at the airport in the next five minutes, so they should gather all their stuff and get ready to leave.

Ruhana takes hold of her bag when she realises that Vineet has left his bag with her. She smiles and she is busy thinking about him. She was so busy thinking about him, staring at him that she didn't realise that when he left his things with her. She takes hold of both the bags and soon they halted in front of the airport.

Before she can move, he signals her to stay back. She didn't know why, she stood still at her place, letting others move out. Her friends ask her to move but she persuades them to move out and wait for her outside. They agree and move out of the bus. The bus gets empty when both Ruhana and Vineet board down the bus after checking everything thoroughly. She is just gazing at him while he is doing his check. He nudges her again when he is done.

"Ruhana!! What's wrong?Are you okay?" He asks again while she smiles at his concern.

"Yeahh! Everything's fine. Just keep your grouchy look away Vineet, please!" She looks at him.

She knows that he is trying his best to be the one she wants. He assures her that everything is fine, He slid his hand around her shoulders and they move to the place where all the other students and professors are waiting. After a few more instructions from the professors, they walk inside for the security checks and the flight was to take off in the next 45 minutes.
